Since 1969, the American University of Rome has been providing An American liberal arts education to students from around the world seeking a unique educational experience. This is the oldest American institution offering academic degrees in Rome: today the university conducts 10 bachelor's programs, 3 master's degrees, all in English.
Overlooking the historic city center, the American University of Rome is a traditional American college located on top of the highest hill of the Eternal City, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Accommodation, meals, prices
All AUR students have the opportunity to live in university-owned housing – apartments that they share with other students in one of the areas surrounding the university. All apartments are located near the city center, equipped with a full set of modern amenities, combine the advantages of private accommodation and the opportunity to get a real experience of independent life in Rome. Unlike isolated dormitories, apartments give you the opportunity to feel a real taste of Italian life, to integrate into the community that you can call home.
Each apartment is designed for 4-9 students, consists of double or triple rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living area. They are fully furnished, have kitchen equipment, bed linen, towels. Although they vary in location, style, size, they are all light, comfortable, well connected to the AUR and the center of Rome.
Activities American University of Rome
American University of Rome offers activities and opportunities aimed at personal growth of students, development of leadership qualities and social responsibility, multicultural competence, intellectual search. The university attracts students to participate in activities.
Res Grads (Resident Assistants) are AUR students united by a love of Italy, studying its way of life, cuisine and traditions. The American University of Rome organizes excursions to the cultural and picturesque places of Italy, day trips or weekends dedicated to the study of Pompeii, Naples.
On campus and beyond, there are many social events organized by the university, from trips to Italy and Europe to cooking pasta in the garden at lunchtime.
