Winter Camp

The winter camp program is a great option to have fun and usefully spend the New Year holidays. Training includes:

  • English lessons: every weekday for four hours,
  • Excursions and campus activities,
  • Accommodation in four-star hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi.

Language lessons are aimed at improving knowledge, while their initial level is not important for admission. In the classroom, students will train speaking, reading and writing skills, develop vocabulary and constantly apply the knowledge gained on excursions and when communicating with native speakers.

The program involves a change of location: the first week will take place in Kuala Lumpur, and the second on the island of Langkawi. Students are accommodated in comfortable hotels, receive daily breakfasts or three meals a day for an additional fee. A variety of trips, collective events on campus will complement the course with unforgettable impressions of the winter holidays in Malaysia.

Accommodation, meals, prices

During the first week of study, students will stay in a four-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and during the second week in a hotel on the island of Langkawi.

Accommodation in Kuala Lumpur is Capri by Fraser Bukit Bintang, located within walking distance of the city centre, the aquarium, the Petronas Towers and the Science Museum. Each dwelling is equipped with:

  • Kitchen with all necessary appliances: refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishes,
  • Dining area,
  • Laundry
  • Recreation and games area.

Located in the southwest of Langkawi, Holiday Villa is ideal for families. The residential building is adjacent to a sandy beach, many restaurants and local shops. All rooms at the resort are equipped with satellite TV, a desk, a coffee maker and views of the Andaman Sea.

During all two weeks, students are provided with daily breakfasts, and they can have lunch and dinner in local cafes and restaurants. If desired, children can be provided with three meals a day for an additional fee.

Activities Winter Camp in Malaysia

The program of activities includes tourist excursions and activities on campus. Students are given the opportunity to explore the sights and natural beauty of Kuala Lumpur and the island of Langkawi:

  • Sightseeing tour of the city of Kuala Lumpur,
  • Traditional Batik Art Center,
  • The river of fireflies and the hill of silver monkeys,
  • Mangrove jungle,
  • Langkawi Island.

Camp staff conduct collective events every day: team building rounds and intellectual games, evenings of national cuisines, walks to the beaches and local restaurants.

Facilities and equipment at Winter Camp in Malaysia

The education in the first week takes place on the campus of the King Henry VIII school, and during the second - on the territory of the Langkawi archipelago, which is the pearl of Malaysia. Its area is special for its centuries-old jungle, which is under the protection of UNESCO. Langkawi is known to tourists all over the world for its ideal white sand beaches, mesmerizing nature and duty-free shopping, as the entire island is a Duty Free zone.

Admission dates and extra charges

The winter program runs for two weeks in January. Education is organized on weekdays: from Monday to Friday, and on weekends, students devote time to excursions and recreation.

The cost of the course includes many services:

  • Transfer: airport – hotel – airport,
  • Excursions on a comfortable bus,
  • Accommodation and daily breakfasts,
  • Academic studies,
  • Campus events,
  • Full support of employees,
  • Souvenir - a T-shirt for the camp participant,

In addition, students will have to pay:

Enrolment process

Enrollment takes place subject to availability on the program. Candidates need to fill out an online form and provide the required documents, then wait for a response from the camp staff. Upon arrival in Malaysia, students will be greeted by a program representative.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Those wishing to spend the winter holidays in the camp must provide personal documents: passport and medical insurance. A visa will be required if the student is going to reside in Malaysia for more than 30 days.

Students also need to bring some things with them:

  • Warm clothes for evening walks,
  • Comfortable beach and casual shoes,
  • Hats
  • Beachwear
  • Insect bite repellents, sunscreen and a first-aid kit with the usual medicines.
