Also, in addition, students can take electives in mathematics and science, aimed at a deeper and more professional understanding of these areas.

High School: 9-12 Grades

The high school program aims to prepare students for the end of schooling. At this stage, it is important to develop students skills such as self-discipline, time management, the ability to set goals, take notes and highlight the main idea in a variety of information. These skills will be practiced both in subject classes and in seminars, extracurricular meetings with teachers and off-campus - at home and through independent work.

To graduate, students need to complete 18 compulsory and 12 additional credits in four years. Each student can choose a set of disciplines that interest him. For example, in the 9th grade, classes are provided in the following subjects:

  • Canadian and World Studies: Canadian Geography,

In grades 11 and 12, all disciplines add a few more in-depth specializations so that students can pay attention to what they would like to do in the future. The curriculum will include marketing and the basics of financial accounting, an introduction to psychology, computer science, robotics and other areas. By the end of grade 12, each student will know exactly which university and which program they would like to enroll in.

The high school program has not only a full-time teaching format, but also provides students with completely distance learning. Using modern technologies and approaches to education, teachers hold group conferences, keep records of the progress of their students and give personalized recommendations for improving progress.

IELTS Preparation Program (Программа подготовки к IELTS)

  • Age - from 17 years old (students of the 12th grade),
  • The duration of training is 8, 12 or 16 weeks,
  • Start dates are September 26, October 24, November 21 and December 19,
  • The format of training is completely face-to-face or online.

The course provides students with an opportunity to improve their level of English in order to obtain one of the internationally recognized certificates – IELTS. The results of this exam are accepted at many universities and colleges, as well as when applying for a job and when obtaining a long-term visa.

Over the course of 8, 12 or 16 weeks, the student will focus on four IELTS sections: writing, reading, listening and speaking. Practicing skills is a crucial aspect of the course – students train weekly on sample exam sections and practice tests.

Classes are held for 6 hours a week in person or remotely: every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00. In 16 weeks, students are guaranteed to reach an IELTS level of 6.5, with no section of the exam being passed lower than 6.0.

Art Portfolio Program

  • Age - from 14 years old (students of the 9th grade),
  • The duration of training is 2 or 4 months,
  • Start dates are every semester.

The art portfolio program is suitable for students who want to improve their skills in art and create a competitive resume for admission to an art university.

Over the course of 2-4 months, students will create two- and three-dimensional works of art using a variety of traditional and innovative means and technologies. Studio courses allow students to explore a range of materials, processes, and techniques that can be applied in their own artistic production. Students will also make connections between different works of art in personal, contemporary, historical and cultural contexts. 

The teaching staff includes professional and experienced artists who will teach 8 weekly classes + 6 hour lessons in the studio.

Upon completion of the training, each student of the course will have a personal portfolio with a set of works that can open the way for him to the leading creative universities of the country and the world.

University & College Pathway Program

  • Age - from 17 years old (students of the 12th grade),
  • The duration of training is 19 weeks,
  • Start dates – spring semester,
  • The training format is completely online.

High school students are offered assistance in preparing for admission to a university or college - an online course and advisory services from mentors and teachers of the school.

The institution has more than 35 partnership agreements with universities and colleges in which students can enter without entrance exams: IELTS or TOEFL.

Over the course of 19 weeks, the main focus of academic training will be on the development of the following skills:

  • Critical thinking,
  • Essay writing,
  • Presentation and argumentation,
  • Academic research skills,
  • Academic vocabulary,
  • Leadership.

After completing this course, students will be able to safely enter the chosen university, having excellent knowledge and skills.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students are given two accommodation options to choose from: residences or host family homes.

Bishop Residence is a residential complex for male and female students. It is located in North York, on Bishop Avenue:

  • Room types: single, double, triple and quadruple,
  • Fully furnished rooms,
  • Three meals a day: breakfasts, lunches and dinners,
  • Shared bathrooms,
  • Student living room and dining room,
  • Free Wi-Fi,
  • Daily transfer to and from the school during class hours,
  • Cleaning of the premises every week,
  • Laundry service is available at an additional cost.

The cost of monthly accommodation ranges from $ 1200 to $ 1600 CAD depending on the type of room.

Centennial Place Student Residence is a residence with modern rooms, a round-the-clock fitness center, lounge areas and regularly held themed events. The residential building is located in Scarborough, on Progress Avenue:

  • Fully furnished single apartments,
  • Two meals a day: lunches and dinners,
  • Shared bathrooms,
  • Laundry for an additional fee,
  • Student living room and dining room,
  • Free Wi-Fi,
  • Daily transfer to and from the school during class hours for $180 CAD per month.

The cost of placement per month is $1600 CAD.

Accommodation in host families is ideal for foreign students: regular education of conversational English skills, study of the culture and life of local residents, homely atmosphere. Family houses offer single rooms with shared bathrooms, three meals a day, weekly laundry and cleaning. Lunches are packed so that the student can eat it in the educational building between classes. The cost of living in a host family is $1250 CAD per month.
