University of the Pacific is a prestigious private university located in Stockton, California, not far from San Francisco. International Year One or Undergraduate accelerator is a special course for foreign citizens entering the Bachelor's Department. The main feature of the course is that students do not lose time, and after graduation they immediately go to the second course of the bachelor's degree. The program consists of a whole body of academic disciplines, seminars on adaptation and learning English (classes in English are not conducted for an integrated course). The ultimate goal of the program is to bring the level of knowledge to the requirements of the university and to adapt to the learning process and lifestyle in the university and country. Students choose one of three proposed options, based on the level of English and academic indicators:

Each of the three programs has three specialization options, which are also chosen by the student, based on their preferences:

Participants have the right to choose the priority areas of education and development, concentrating on what is really interesting to them. Classes are held in groups with a small number of people, which allows teachers to give each student individual time. Classes are conducted exclusively by professionals in their field, with a wealth of experience in research and working with foreigners. Students receive effective help and support at all stages of the program. The director and counselors for student services conduct consultations about the cultural, personal and social aspects of life on campus and in the US as a whole. This includes such issues as: accommodation, food, integration into student life and problems related to adaptation. Students undergo a special course "To Live, Learn, Grow", whose goal is to acquire the social, professional and academic skills necessary for living in another country.
