One of the best language camps in the US and the west coast of the country - the University of San Diego Summer (Summer Camp for children) - conducts exciting vacation programs for students from around the world at the age of 13 to 17 years. Small groups (8-10 people) and professional teachers who have the appropriate qualifications and extensive experience working with foreign students and international groups make the education not only the most comfortable, but also effective. Winter English courses for children and teenagers

  • Age of students: 13-17 years

The language course implies 20 lessons weekly (on weekdays from 9:00 to 12:40 hours) aimed at the integrated development of all basic, basic language skills and knowledge:

The groups include up to 8 people: the instructors of the course are experienced, qualified professionals who practice an individual approach and are able to create for each student a unique, individual plan of classes according to his needs and abilities.

Sunday is completely reserved for students' rest, on Saturdays usually there are excursions, trips to major theme parks, interesting events and games on campus.

A week-long tour of the California coast, which students can book in addition to the main winter program, includes 5 excursions for several hours and a minimum of 1 full day excursion each week:

Summer USD Campus+ California Coastal Trip

  • Age of students: 13-17 years old
  • Course duration: 2-4 weeks elective; 2-3 week courses can be combined with a trip.

A universal combined course is a great opportunity to learn English in a fun and enjoyable way, in the company of new friends from all over the world!

The Classic Summer English Course is aimed at improving all the key, basic language skills:

  • Grammar
  • Reading
  • Listening comprehension
  • Vocabulary (active vocabulary expansion)
  • Written Language
  • Speaking (Spoken English)
  • Phonetics (correct pronunciation, accent correction)
  • Improvement of communication skills.

Upon arrival (before the start of classes), all students undergo a placement test – written + oral test – which divides them into groups according to their initial level of knowledge: this makes learning more efficient, faster and more comfortable. In total, the program provides 4 levels of difficulty: from the most beginners to "advanced" students, so there is a suitable training course for any student.

The intensity of the classes is 20 lessons per week: children learn English from 9:00 to 12:30 (lunch break from 10:40 to 11:00). There are also special classes on the culture and history of the United States - Cultural workshops: they are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 13:30 to 15:00. During thematic additional lessons, students will not only learn a lot of new and interesting things, but will also be able to practice the acquired knowledge and skills, develop spoken language (oral English), and expand their vocabulary. Groups are formed in small groups: usually 7-8 people, maximum 10: this gives teachers the opportunity to practice an individual approach, to give each student a sufficient amount of personal attention and time.

Also, students who are interested in a program lasting 2-3 weeks have the opportunity to book an extended tour along with an interesting and eventful trip. The week-long trip (6 days and nights) covers the most interesting places and cities in this part of America:

Accommodation, meals, prices

The students of the summer program who chose the University of San Diego, have the opportunity to choose the most suitable option for them:

Located in the southern part of the campus: the rooms are designed for two people, and each apartment - in two rooms. For a small additional fee, students can connect to the local wireless Internet, use the laundry. The whole territory is carefully guarded in the 24/7 mode, boarding (three meals a day) is provided.
