TOP-7 habits that every successful student has

TOP-7 habits that every successful student has

Not the student is good that the night before the exam is working on textbooks, but the one who slowly and slowly did everything in advance. After analyzing your own experience (and at the same time someone else's), we have collected seven useful tips that can help you save yourself from procrastination, deal with new material with greater speed and overcome the difficulties you face.

Planning

Preparing a plan will require a maximum of 20 minutes a week, but you will get clear schedules, clear priorities and the opportunity to learn with greater productivity, devoting more time to your own hobbies and hobbies.

We consider the ideal planning horizon to be 1-2 months. Make a calendar or diary and scrupulously mark in it important dates and deadlines for starting and completing work on a particular topic.

Add tactical to long-term planning: every week you have class and extracurricular activities, friendly meetings, and timeout times. It sounds ridiculous, but allocating a couple of hours for a couple of glasses of tea during the week in the company of classmates, you will significantly increase your productivity (and at the same time you will find a person with whom you can share notes or pick up the key to a difficult teacher).

Eat, sleep, exercise

Everything has its time: a short and haphazard sleep, eating all sorts of and refusing to play sports release a seal in you. And these cute pinnipeds have a short life expectancy, including academic life.

  • A person who sleeps less than 6-8 hours a day is dull and loses cognitive qualities, and the one who devotes less than four hours to this important task counts the hours until the future burial.
  • Eating should not only be tasty and fast, but also useful - it is necessary for the body and brain to preserve physical properties and intelligence. At least you need two liters of fluid daily, a certain amount of vitamins and minerals that are easiest to find in fruits.
  • And sports will allow you to establish a balance between the body's needs for movement and the loads necessary to supply the brain with oxygen. You can be a genius, but give oak up to thirty more from heart failure. Don't do that.

Prioritizing

Not every discipline from the student schedule will be equally useful for you and Vasya Vetrov. Think about it, perhaps, that some disciplines you do not need.

Then you should find out how unnecessary an occupation is necessary to attend and how much your career depends on it. If excellent marks and a red diploma are not an end in itself, focus on what is interesting, useful for the future profession and pleasant.

And calmly neglect everything else!

A small hint: teachers of non-core disciplines most often understand that their lectures are unlikely to be useful to you in the future, and often agree to put a credit in exchange for 100% attendance or notes of all lectures. These are favorable conditions.

Do not cling, but repeat more often

Memorization will help to clog the RAM just before the exam tests, but the knowledge will leave your head as quickly as it got there.

The secret to replenishing their long-term memory is notes, returning to new and old materials, analysis.

Specialists in the study of memory are convinced that the optimal scheme for memorization will be a return to the studied after a day, three, seven, twenty, thirty days, two and three months. Thus, the data can be loaded even into the most cast-iron head – and be sure that they will not be forgotten in a year or two, during the GOS.

Create a group for additional classes

Perhaps you can do homework with your groupmates. Not to be confused: you're not doing this to shift the most difficult tasks to someone's neck, but to discuss new materials and cross-motivation.

Help in this you can a common chat or meetings in the hostel, library, dining room or cafe.

The optimal number of participants is no more than four, otherwise it will not be easy to focus on the classes.

Performing tasks is possible alone - the main thing is that then there is an interlocutor with whom you can disassemble what you have learned: this will allow you to assess the situation from the other side and find a non-standard method of solution.

Create a comfortable space for studying

Properly organized workspace – if not half, then 30% of the successful solution of even the most complex educational issues. Put on sleep mode cellular, disable notifications of social networks and mail. Turn off the signal, finally.

To increase the efficiency of work, you should divide tasks into blocks of 30-45 minutes. After completing a task consisting of several blocks, you can afford a longer rest or a short walk around the city.

Multitasking is not a friend, but an enemy. At the same time, preparing an essay, analytical reference, checking for updates to social networks and watching your favorite series, get ready to redo 2 out of 4 cases. And the series will need to be revised.

Do not be silent at lectures, seminars

In order to be a decent student, you should at least occasionally go to lectures - even if it is unbearably boring and you have already turned your jaw from yawning a couple of times.

By the way, this is also impolite.

Lecture couples will be able to demonstrate a simple way and scenario for solving the problem where the stubborn, who prefer to stuff their own cones, will have to go through the difficult. Even a boring teacher can save you hours and weeks of trying to deal with difficulties on your own.

And yes. Everything is good in its season.

The exam is designed to check the quality and level of your studying, and not to clarify incomprehensible and controversial points. This should be done during lectures. You are learning, do not hesitate to ask and be inexperienced and ignorant - for this study is needed.
