TOP-10 best countries to work as a programmer

TOP-10 best countries to work as a programmer

In some countries, doing business is difficult: bureaucratic obstacles, problems with administration and unsuccessful tax regimes. In others, on the contrary, all conditions have been created, and this situation is repeated in any professions, specialties, competencies. In addition, there are places where, as if they were smeared with honey there, the best of the best gather. And not so long ago, there was a way to find out where these places are!

It's about big data. HackerRank, a specialized portal that is necessary to test the capabilities and abilities of a person in the field of programming, allows you to improve your competencies, acquire new skills and knowledge, and for business - to look for gifted specialists. At the end of 2021, the resource presented the results of the largest study in recent years, which made it possible to find out the countries where the best developers of program code live.

This study is based on estimates from one and a half million developers. The key characteristics that are taken into account in this study are the speed and accuracy of the tasks.

So, we present to your attention a dozen countries with the best specialists in the field of programming. The authors of the study, in addition to standardized parameters, made regional and national accents that allow us to consider a particular jurisdiction more closely and closely.

A few things are surprising.

  • First, several Eastern European countries, including ours, found a place in the ranking. Given the fact that salaries in the region are low, the tax and social infrastructure leave much to be desired, and education is lame on both right-wingers...
  • Secondly, in the top ten, on the contrary, there was no place for the United States and India, where, according to a popular stereotype, everything is fine with programming.

China

No one will be surprised by the first line of the People's Republic of China. If we are talking about specific, non-standard profiles, then in this country the best indicators are demonstrated in data structuring, mathematical operations and fundamental programming.

Russia

Natives of our country are strongest in algorithmic problems. In addition, for decades we have formed a system of secondary, secondary specialized and higher education, in which the preparation of technical specialists took place with a huge margin. This reserve is relevant to this day.

Poland

Many users of the above-mentioned resource prefer the Java programming language, and it is the representatives of the Republic of Poland who lead the Java Challenge on the portal. It is interesting to note that in Polish schools, as in some of the others on our list, programming has been successfully and for quite some time taught in middle and high school.

Switzerland

A small high-altitude republic with ancient traditions of democracy, parliamentarism, philosophy and referendums sheltered many interesting and useful things on its land. For example, they make cheeses, Swiss watches and milk with chocolate.

But in the market of IT services, Switzerland is also valued very highly, its representatives demonstrate high results in all areas. And, importantly, pascal appeared here - one of the first chronologically programming languages.

Well, for a snack - in the global innovation index, the state ranks first.

Hungary

This Central European country occupies the fifth line quite reasonably: the key to this is the highest performance indicators in the course of the educational process. Back in socialist times, programming lessons appeared in the Hungarian People's Republic in secondary schools, and in 1992 - in primary schools. Chronologically, it was the first introduction of this kind of lessons into the educational standards of the lower grades in the world.

Japan

The Japanese demonstrate remarkable success in the development of artificial intelligence, so it should not be surprising that problems in this and related areas are solved in the Land of the Rising Sun with high speed and efficiency. It should not be assumed that this is all theoretical and useless abstract knowledge from the distant future; Already today, the developments of scientists at the University of Tokyo help oncodiagnostics in the early stages.

Taiwan

The controversial Republic of China, with its capital in Taipei, scored the highest in database architecture, algorithms, function programming, and structured data applications. They are also very strong in python programming.

France

According to the same research project, French coders are particularly good at C++ problems. This is probably due to the introduction of classes on the basics of programming in primary school from the 2014/2015 school year, as well as numerous and very diverse opportunities to get higher education in this area completely free of charge.

Czech Republic

Here they demonstrate high results associated with tasks according to shell scenarios. In addition, the Czechs took the second place in the ranking of problems in mathematics HackerRank.

Italy

Italians have no equal in the field of DBMS and educational processes, demonstrating outstanding approaches and outstanding results. These strengths were appreciated not only by the HackerRank rating, but also by Apple Corporation, which not so long ago announced the opening of a new development school on the Italian coast, which has an ambitious task to train six hundred programmers.
