School Salem is a well-known German state gymnasium, also working as an international boarding school (the largest in the country!). Here, students from all over the world are offered summer combined courses, as well as a general secondary education program. Studying is bilingual (English and German), in addition to academic success, sports and creative achievements are highly valued - the school is doing everything possible to give children the opportunity to reveal their talents, potential and abilities.Summer camp Hohenfels accepts children from 9 to 12 years old and is located in a real castle: Hohenfels is located near the town of Stockach, stands on a high hill and offers a stunning panorama of the surroundings. The largest Lake Constance is 12 kilometers away, the airport in Zurich can be reached within an hour, the road to the airport in Stuttgart takes about 2 hours.

About the educational course:

For classes, each student can choose the two most priority areas:

Accommodation, meals, prices
Pupils live in the castle of Hohefels, as do teachers with families and other employees of Summer Camp Hohenfels. Children are divided into small groups, each receives his mentor: he helps them in resolving any issues and disputes, guarantees 24/7 security. Each room is designed for 2-4 people, fully equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Meals are organized on the full board basis.
Subjects and sports
Activities Salem Summer Camp Hohenfels
Afternoon and evening hours are devoted to entertainment and cognitive activities, which bring up useful skills. You can choose up to 3 directions from the following:
- Circus Art
- History (medieval history and culture, costumed chivalry tournaments and holidays)
- Flora and fauna around the castle ("Forest")
- Art and creativity
- Sailing
- Music, singing, drama and theater.
Every Saturday an interesting excursion for the whole day is organized: it can be a visit to Zalem Castle, an excursion to the Affenberg Park with animal feeding, bathing in Lake Constance in good weather. On Sunday, the children have a relaxed schedule: a later breakfast and an evening barbecue are organized, various team games and events, evening concerts and gatherings with friends are held.
The last days of the course are the time for meetings with parents: they usually come to Summer Camp Hohenfels on Friday in the afternoon. Parents together with children and teachers walk around the territory, communicate with teachers, learn about the academic successes and impressions of children. On Saturday evening, a large show is arranged by the students, where each student can demonstrate his achievements.
Facilities and equipment at Salem Summer Camp Hohenfels
Summer Camp Hohenfels immediately immerses students in an amazing natural world: it hosts a large number of pets, birds, greenhouses and huts are built, in the woods there is a cozy log cabin. On the campus there is its own observatory. The sports infrastructure is rich and diverse (most of the facilities are only 10 minutes away from the castle): an outdoor swimming pool, a gym, a climbing wall and a large sports ground for practicing in any weather.
