Portuguese National Curriculum
Colégio St. Peter offers courses in the Portuguese curriculum aimed at pursuing a university or polytechnic education.
The program is designed for 3 academic years, corresponding to grades 10, 11 and 12, with the receipt of a diploma of completion of secondary education of the corresponding level.
The course learning matrix includes:
- A learning component common to all courses aimed at shaping the personal, social and cultural identity of young people: learning Portuguese, a foreign language - English, philosophy, physical education (mandatory).
- A specific educational component aimed at ensuring consistent scientific studying in the area of the relevant course includes, in addition to the obligatory three-year, two two-year courses, the choice and combination of which depends on the desired path of study.
The disciplines of the general educational component are compulsory and general for all courses, and according to the disciplines of a particular educational component, the courses are diverse.
IGCSE program
St. Peter's International School offers the IGCSE program for grades 9 and 10. During the two-year course, students have the opportunity to study 8 subjects, which include the main compulsory subjects: first language, second language, mathematics, natural sciences, physical education. Each subject is taught 130 teaching hours (recommended by Cambridge Assessment International Education).

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
IB DP students study subjects covering many areas, including at least two languages, traditional academic subjects (including mathematics), experimental sciences, social studies, art.
The program includes three additional core areas: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Action, Service (CAS), and Essay (EE).
Students must complete 6 subjects and 3 main elements (TOK, CAS, EE):
- At the beginning of the IB DP, students choose six subjects - three at the Higher Level (HL) and three at the Standard Level (SL).
- Students must choose a subject from groups 1, 2 and 5. They will have the opportunity to choose one or two subjects from groups 3 and 4 for a total of six subjects. In addition, students will participate in Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Activity and Creativity Service (CAS) classes, and will also work on essays (EE). Thus, students will have the opportunity to study some subjects in depth and others more broadly.
To successfully complete the IB DP program, students must score a minimum of 24 out of 45 points.
Primary Grades (Grades 1-4)
Primary school follows the national curriculum, includes English, and is also taught an introduction to Latin.

New International Hostel for St. Peter's opens its doors to foreign students, offering a friendly and safe environment. The expansive 2,400 m² Boarding Residence is located near the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, just 30 minutes from Lisbon International Airport, and is the first and only property of its kind in the Greater Lisbon area.
The school offers to students full board: all meals are prepared in the college kitchen by a qualified and certified team. The quality complies with the HACCP system, which controls the entire cooking chain (from purchasing raw materials to packaging).
The menu is based on a Mediterranean diet, meals are prepared with the necessary nutritional value in mind for the different age groups of students. The college offers four daily meals including soup: main course, dietary, vegetarian and optional.
