The history of the college begins back in 1896: initially it was not an educational institution, but the Church of St. Edmund, the founder of which was the 15th Duke of Norfolk Henry Fitzalan-Howard. Over the years, there have been repeated attempts to transform the House of St. Edmund into a college, but the institution received the status of a full-fledged college only in 1996.

Today at St Edmund's College educational programs at various levels are available, including summer vocational education courses. After 2 weeks of education, young people will be able to study the chosen direction at a deeper level. The teaching process at Cambridge Summer School is led by qualified teachers with impressive practical experience.
