Cambridge University (Summer Academic Camp at the University of Cambridge) is a prestigious camp with quality programs held in one of the best universities in Britain. The camp does not officially belong to Oxford or Cambridge University, does not work under the auspices of Cambridge University, but conducts academic summer programs in Cambridge buildings and contracts with teachers from these institutions. All camp instructors are current employees of the Oxford or Cambridge Universities. The summer camp is accredited by the British Council and is a member of the Council of British International Schools.

The summer camp is a two-week program for teenagers aged 16-18, giving the opportunity to study the subject at the university level. Academic studies are carefully designed and taught by experienced teachers in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic research. In total, 17 programs are available for selection, each of which corresponds to any discipline and field of knowledge. Each week students receive 20 academic studies in mini-groups, the maximum number of which does not exceed 12 people. Education is built around the study of the fundamental foundations of the chosen discipline, and around studying modern trends, discoveries and the relationship of science with the everyday world. Thanks to the rich experience and high professionalism, the camp teachers build individual work with each student, teach them to think critically, to create their own theories and open new horizons of science. Students constantly take part in debates and general discussion of issues, prove and defend their point of view. Throughout the program, teachers assess the progress of students and give recommendations on the style of work and issues that should be emphasized. At the end of the program, each participant receives a certificate, which is an official document and can be submitted upon admission to the university as part of the portfolio.

In addition to teachers, other employees of the camp are in constant contact with the students - the director, mentors and invited speakers. The director of the camp is a real professional and is ready to solve any arising question. The mentoring system involves attaching to each student a mentor from the number of university students who helps him to adapt to life in Cambridge and support in case of difficulties. Invited speakers are experts from various fields of knowledge who work with students in a live communication and exchange of views.

A carefully planned work schedule ensures that the program not only meets the academic needs of participants, but also provides a unique experience of living in the university city due to the abundance of extracurricular activities. The list of events is very extensive and includes, in particular, excursions and tours, visits to historical and cultural monuments, sports and recreational activities. During the program, students live in comfortable residences at Cambridge University and enjoy all the opportunities and benefits of campuses of his colleges.

In addition to the main programs that are variously represented in the summer camp, each student has the opportunity to attend 1-2 optional courses - classes are already included in the tuition fee, but their attendance is not mandatory:

1) Interview Skills Workshops

  • The course is conducted in the framework of any of the major programs
  • The student decides whether to pass these seminars or not.

Seminars focus on developing self-confidence, perseverance and professionalism necessary to address key issues that may arise during the interview. Seminars "Interview skills" are included in the cost of the program, but their attendance is not mandatory.
