The University of St. Andrews is a relatively small university (9,000 students). It is one of the oldest in the country and is the most authoritative research center in Scotland. A history of the uniniversity began in 1413. Located in a small Scottish city, the university attracts international students with a high quality of academic preparation, educational services, and plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development.

Academic specialization of the university lies in the field of several kinds of sciences. One of the most powerful is the humanitarian direction, in particular the course of the history of the Middle Ages. Faculties of exact sciences are not less successful. Bachelor's programs at the university differ in terms of duration (in comparison with the majority offered in Britain). The first two courses are predominantly general educational. Students study the academic disciplines of the chosen direction. On the 3rd-4th year, profile disciplines are offered to the attention of future bachelors. Grades received in special disciplines are taken into account in the award of a degree and affect the level of diploma (ordinary or honours).

Short information about the course of postgraduate education for professionals wishing to focus on the deepening of academic knowledge and research activities.

Practically oriented master's programs provide for theoretical preparation of students within the chosen narrow specialization, studying in profile organizations. The educational process takes place mainly in communication with colleagues - professionals of high class in the relevant field of activity.
