University of Strathclyde (Strathclyde University) is a prestigious state research university located in the city of Glasgow (Scotland, Britain). It dates back to 1796, the year of the foundation of the Anderson Institute. In 1964, the special royal charter was given the status of the University of Strathclyde, as the first technology university in the United Kingdom. The name of his university was from the historical Kingdom of Strathclyde, which existed in the south of Scotland in the period from the 5th to the end of the 9th century.
Today the University is the third in Scotland by the number of students and has in its ranks students and employees from more than 100 countries. The University was awarded the titles "University of the Year" and "Entrepreneurial University of the Year" in 2012 and 2013 respectively (Times Higher Education). He is ranked 36th in the Sunday Times University Guide and 50th in Times Higher Education among British universities. The university offers its students a quality study program in the bachelor's, master's and research departments. Especially for foreign students there are programs of preparation for entering the university - preparation for entering the baccalaureate, international year, preparation for entering the magistracy. During the education, students intensively study the English academic language, and disciplines in their field, and develop personal and educational skills, employment and career development skills. Students also adapt to the education and life system in Scotland and Britain as a whole. After successful completion of the Undegraduate Foundation program, students enter the first year of the undergraduate program, the International Year One program for the second year of the undergraduate program, and after the Pre-Masters program for the first year of the master's program. Also there is a possibility to "tighten" the level of the language to all who need it, having previously enrolled in special English courses.
During the education, students are engaged in various sports and physical education, and, in general, lead an active lifestyle and monitor their health. PROGRAM OF PREPARATION FOR THE BACHELORATE (Undegraduate Foundation).

The program is designed for foreign students who plan to enter the department of undergraduate studies at Strathclyde University. The program is necessary in order to bring academic knowledge and English language skills in line with the Scottish (and British) education system. To enter the program you must have a high school diploma with good marks and a certain level of English (if the level is lower than necessary, you can go through special courses). The programs last 3 semesters and can begin in September or January.

5. Level of education: completed high school with good marks (minimum average score 4.0) or an additional year of education (for example, on educational programs).
The educational program is designed for foreign applicants (not British citizens and non-EU citizens) who want to enroll in the Bachelor of Business Administration program. "International Year" is a specially adapted first year of study, which includes a body of academic disciplines, English classes and programs to adapt to the education and life in Britain. The program lasts for 3 semesters.

- Academic English. Development of academic language skills - critical reading, listening, literate and accurate presentation of their thoughts and ideas in written and oral form
- Accounting and finance. Topics: financial data and financial management, evaluation of the organization's performance on the basis of financial data, and a comparative assessment of efficiency
- Economy. Topics: theory of economics, economic instruments, external factors and ways to solve problems
- Global business in context. Introductory module on the study of the international business environment for organizations. Themes: global business theories and tools, problems and possible solutions

Pre-master's preparation is necessary for those foreign applicants who plan to enter the department of magistracy of the University of Strathclyde. To participate in the program you must have a bachelor's degree in the same or an adjacent direction. In case of non-compliance with the language requirements, applicants can first pass special English courses. The duration of the programs is 2 semesters.

PROGRAMS OF STUDYING ENGLISH LANGUAGE (English Courses).
The University offers two special language educational programs aimed at improving the level of the language:
- Preparatory English courses (for applicants who wish to enter the preparation for undergraduate and international year)
- English for pre-master programs (for applicants pre-master programs).
The programs include intensive English classes in the main sections of linguistics:
- Grammar and vocabulary
- Speaking
