The well-known language school Speakeasy Language School Barcelona specializes in studying and teaching Spanish to foreign students. It deservedly is considered one of the best in Barcelona and is on the list of 140 accredited Spanish learning centers according to the evaluation of the Instituto Cervantes.

The school was opened in 2001: today more than 100 thousand students from all over the world have been studied here. The school not only organizes and develops effective programs for learning Spanish - it serves to spread this language around the world, supporting national traditions and the continued quality of education.

Speakeasy Language School Barcelona is located in the heart of the Catalan capital, close to the main city square and the Rambla street, which is rightly considered to be the center of all city festivities and shows. In walking distance from the school you can find a great variety of cafes, restaurants, shops, bars and traditional tapas bars, shops, pharmacies and bank branches - all the necessary urban infrastructure is available in just a couple of steps. Also close is the metro station (the intersection of three lines) and the city railway; right near the school there is a bus stop, including the routes to the airport and the main tourist centers and attractions.

Semi-Intensive Course (20 lessons per week)

The option is designed for students who are willing to devote more time to pursuing their studies and strive for faster and more productive learning, rapid improvement of basic knowledge and skills. On average, on this program 1 language level is studied within 2 weeks.

From Monday to Friday, students attend 4 lessons daily (there is a schedule from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 13:30 to 17:30) with a break of 20 minutes between them.

  • Groups of 3-10 people
  • 1 lesson = 55 minutes
  • Minimum requirements: any level of Spanish, from A1 to C2.

A specially designed intensive program will help you effectively prepare for the Spanish language test (DELE). This certificate, issued by the Instituto Cervantes and confirming the language level you have reached, will be a profitable point of your resume and will significantly expand the possibilities for employment, help you to get education in a prestigious institution or qualify for a high position. DELE is recognized and recommended by the Ministry of Education of Spain as the most accurate way to identify the level of language knowledge among those for whom the Spanish language is not native. At Speakeasy school, you can prepare for the DELE exam at the following levels:

  • Medium - B1
  • Above average - B2
  • Advanced - Level C1.

Students are engaged for 4 weeks, for 20 hours weekly: lessons are held in the morning (from 9:00 to 13:00), and in the evening (from 16:00 to 20:00),  from Monday to Friday. In one class, up to 10 people, 1 lesson = 55 minutes. Examination dates for you can clarify your manager (usually this is May 20-21, July 15 and November 25).

Please note that you must register for the exam separately, by going to the official website of the Cervantes Institute (the cost of the exam is paid additionally).

Accommodation, meals, prices

Foreign students can stay in a private apartment, student residence or prefer a residence in a host family. Most accommodation options are chosen so that the road to Speakeasy Language School Barcelona or the city center does not take more than 20 minutes to transport. All the options are cozy, perfectly equipped with the necessary equipment and furnished, provide all the conditions for a comfortable stay. Typically, there are options for apartments with 1-2 rooms, designed exclusively for students (without the owner): each student has his bedroom, free access to all common premises and his own s-et of keys. Laundry services are not included in the cost of accommodation, as well as meals - in this option self-service is accepted (students prepare themselves in the common kitchen).

  • Host family

Living in a traditional Spanish family house, you not only can enjoy comfort and coziness, but also constantly practice your communication and speech skills, communicate with the native speakers of Spanish Language, deepen their knowledge of national culture and traditions. Each student is provided with a private room with a bed, a wardrobe and a desk, a personal set of keys and free access to all common areas (bathroom, toilet, kitchen, living room, etc.). The amount includes laundry and regular cleaning, access to Wi-Fi, half board (twice a day with the rest of the family).

  • General residence

The sociable students like residence accommodation who want to find new friends from around the world and constantly develop their communication and speech skills in the process of living communication. The residence is within 10 minutes by metro from the city center and the school building. There are several variants of rooms (each of them has a small functional kitchen) - you can voice your wishes to the employee of the placement department, and he will pick up the best option for you on the dates you want.

Each room is equipped with air conditioning, as well as other necessary appliances and furniture, regular cleaning is provided, the laundry is opened 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. All tenants of the residences have free access to the living room with TV and cozy furniture, a multimedia classroom and quiet offices for self-study, and free access to Wi-Fi. The residence has its own fitness center, solarium and swimming pool.

The cost is updated on an individual basis upon request (depends on the selected conditions and dates).
