SECONDARY SCHOOL (grades 8-9)

The middle classes are a serious intermediate stage in the life of students, and therefore special care and participation is shown here, both from teachers and school staff. Boys are defined with preferences and range of interests and study a set of disciplines on a sufficiently serious level. Subjects:

SENIOR SCHOOL (10th, 11th, 12th grades)

In the 10th grade, the development of knowledge on basic and additional disciplines continues: the type of mathematical course, one subject from natural sciences and another 5 electives (one is studied for half a year) is chosen. In the 11-12 grades, active preparation for the receipt of the certificate and entrance to the university begins: the students study English, mathematics and 4 subjects of their choice; Chinese, French and Japanese are available in foreign languages. In addition, some courses available at the university level, they are compiled with local universities and give advantages on admission.

The state educational system provides for a multidisciplinary approach to knowledge assessment and includes two points:

  • Authority subjects (study of 5 priority subjects, 3 of them - within two years)
  • Queensland Care Skills Test (Queensland Standard Skills Test).

Each student at the end of 12 classes receives the Senior Statement (an extract of achievements), which includes indicators on the general level of knowledge and indicators for subjects. Senior Statement:

  • Overall Position: The position of the pupil in the general rating (scale from 1 to 25, 1 - the best indicator)
  • Field Position: Position by subject (level of ownership, scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is the best indicator).

When admitting applicants universities are primarily guided by Overall Position, however, in serious competition Field Position is of no small importance. The Australian diploma of secondary education is recognized throughout the world and allows graduates to enter the best universities within the country, as well as in the United States, Canada, European and Asian countries.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Accommodation on campus is possible from the age of 13 - all newly arrived students are provided with a place in residences. On the campus there are 5 modern hostels, equipped to the highest standards. Students from middle classes are accommodated in 2-3-4-bed bedrooms, and high school students (11-12 grades), as a rule, live in separate rooms. All rooms are equipped with furniture and household appliances (bathrooms, respectively, common or separate). The building has laundry facilities, living rooms, kitchen areas, auditoriums for games and recreation, security and safety systems. Round the clock in the residences are staff members who monitor the students and help them solve all emerging issues.

The food is fully provided by the host, on the campus there are dining rooms where students receive a full balanced diet + there is the opportunity to choose special diets. Canteens cooperate with the best suppliers, all dishes are prepared from fresh and environmentally friendly products.
