Princess Helena College is a well-known private school for girls, which accepts schoolchildren from 11 to 18 years of age (there is a boarding school and a full-time form). The total number of students reaches 200.

Princess Helena College was founded in 1820 as an educational institution for the daughters of officers participating in the wars of the Napoleonic era - this is one of the first women's schools in the UK. In 1873, the honorary "president" of the institution was named Princess Elena, the daughter of the legendary Queen Victoria, and since then the school bears her name, is under the special patronage of the royal family.

Princess Helena College is located at the distance approximately one and a half hours from London (up to an hour from Heathrow International Airport), in the cozy, quiet village of Preston, Hertfordshire, with a total campus of 73 hectares. The main building is a majestic old mansion, built in the XVIII century.

The main goal of the studying is the comprehensive development of the potential and capabilities of each girl in a cozy, comfortable and warm atmosphere. Graduates demonstrate independence and self-confidence, respect others and treat them with understanding and tolerance to someone else's point of view, they recognize themselves as full-fledged members of modern society. Pupils impress with their academic results, thanks to which, without special problems, they enter the selected universities, including the most prestigious and ratnked ones:

Excellent grades are largely due to the small classes and the balance of the Sixth Form programs: it helps teachers to more closely monitor academic progress, adjusting the curriculum if necessary. Each senior pupil has a personal mentor: he is always ready to help with valuable advice or recommendation, prepares the student for admission to the chosen institution, monitors her progress and involvement in extracurricular life.

Regularly the Independent Schools Inspectorate Commission checks Princess Helena College for compliance with high modern educational standards. The last check was carried out in 2013 and showed the following results:

  • "Good" score: academic successes of children, the quality of teaching and the childcare, working with parents, the level of education and boarding, the level of child upbringing and development, the quality of school management and safety
  • Excellent: the organization of extracurricular upbringing, the quality and organization of the curriculum.

Girls of any religion can study here, no confession is inculcated or imposed, traditional Christian values.
