PGL Boreatton Park summer camp
Description of PGL Boreatton Park summer camp
The Boreatton Park camp is located in Shropfir, 10 miles from Shrewsbury - the largest and most popular center of the PGL network. The PGL Association has been organizing children's and youth camps in Britain for more than 50 years. Currently there are 16 centers, which annually accept up to 250,000 people. PGL is a member of the British Association for Active Rest (BAHA), the British Association of Tour Operators (ABTA), and a partner of the British Sports Associations. The main building is a majestic old mansion, an outstanding architectural monument (built in 185), and the well-groomed territory is so large that in order to get around it completely, it will take almost a week - 240 acres. Also an interesting feature of the mansion is the "calendar building": it has 4 main entrance doors, 12 chimneys and 365 windows. This camp provides a choice: a summer holiday with learning English or a purely British camp, where children can relax in a circle of native speakers.

Review about PGL Boreatton Park summer camp
There is nothing to complain about, a magnificent English summer camp. The number of "activities" outside of school is extreme, everything is different and interesting (as parents, we could always clarify plans for the coming days, schedule of excursions, etc.). The only thing is that the camp is a bit out of place, far from large cities, so the trips that were, were long, small children may get tired on the way (we have a son of 15 years, so there were no problems).
On the other hand, being in such a rural area, firstly, shows England as it is, and secondly, provides an opportunity for additional activities such as hiking, "forest trail" (something like forest walking tour), all kinds of eco lectures and trips to farms. The territory is very large, so everything for children’s sports and clubs was right at school, which is a plus for us personally.
