Educational process

Not only does Nashoba Brooks offer a balanced curriculum, but it also offers childcare options before and after class.

  • Children can arrive at 7:30 a.m. before school to participate in the Early Birds classes: until 8:00 a.m. (start of lessons) they will be supervised by a specialist.
  • After classes (until 17:30), children can stay for an extended day. Supervised students will be able to play outside and warm up, chat, read, older children will be able to do their homework with the help of a teacher-organizer. Accommodation, meals, prices

The school does not provide accommodation for its young students, but carefully monitors their meals during the school day. Nashoba Brooks School has contracted with supplier Sodexo to provide students with healthy, balanced, and safe meals. For example, it is forbidden to bring food and dishes containing nuts into the territory, all dishes that are prepared here are also hypoallergenic, do not contain gluten, corn syrup, nitrates. The menu varies depending on the day of the week – examples of meals from the school food service:

  • Tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, butter and jelly sandwiches, tuna salad, homemade applesauce,
  • Cheese soup with broccoli and cheddar, chicken salad with pita chips, ham,
  • Vegetable turkey soup, roast beef sandwiches,
  • Pizza, antipasti salad, homemade chocolate pudding, etc.

A salad bar is open daily, children are served fresh fruits and vegetables, clean water, milk and juice, yoghurts and cereals, dairy products. On request, you can request meals, for example, without eggs - the following safe designations are accepted:

  • GF (gluten free),
  • V (vegetarian),
  • VG (vegan).

Activities Nashoba Brooks School

The school organizes a variety of interesting activities for its pupils to help them develop harmoniously and comprehensively. School holidays stand out in particular: Thanksgiving, end-of-year morning services, student events, and parties. Students take an active part in charity - the school cooperates with many local non-profit organizations: Gaining Ground, Heading Home, Open Table, Nashoba Learning Group, Cradles to Crayons, etc.

Children play a lot of sports, almost every day in the afternoon (from 15:30 to 16:50), compete with other local schools, can become a member of the school team or national team:

It can be fine arts, painting, music, drama and theater, world cultures, traditional music of the peoples of the world, participation in various ensembles (the a-capella group is especially famous), etc.

Students can take part in a variety of communities - mathematical, scientific, youth initiatives, charity and others. Mostly, these opportunities are offered to older students (may be for an additional fee).

What is required of applicants:

  • Contact the school, if necessary, ask questions and request more information; if possible, schedule a study visit,
  • Sign up for Ravenna's online application system,
  • Fill out the application form and pay the registration fee ($50),
  • Fill out parent/guardian questionnaires,
  • Generate an academic report (report card, transcripts, letters from teachers and principals). A minimum of 2 recommendations (from teachers of mathematics and English) will be required if the child enters grades 4/8,
  • Fill out the questionnaire of the future student.
