Leeds Trinity University is a public university with a strong student body and a well-deserved reputation for producing highly qualified and desirable graduate employees. Originally established to provide qualified teachers to Catholic schools, it has gradually expanded and now offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a range of humanities and social sciences. In recent years, the university has introduced a number of new courses, including two-year diplomas in education and sports, tourism management and leisure.

Educational process

Teaching at Leeds Trinity is employability-oriented and research-based. Lectures are taught by inspiring faculty with extensive experience in the industry, and class sizes are small, giving all students the opportunity to benefit from one-on-one support.

Depending on the degree they are pursuing, students can study abroad for anywhere from a couple of weeks to a full year, giving them the opportunity to experience a new culture, develop a range of new skills, and make friends abroad.

Many undergraduate courses are professionally accredited, which means that professional organizations recognize research as relevant and responsive to the needs of today's industry. Accreditation includes the British Psychological Society and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).

Scientific achievements

Leeds Trinity is home to a number of research centers and projects:

  • Leeds Centre for Victorian Studies (LCVS). Established in 1994, LCVS is one of the oldest and most active centres for Victorian studies in the UK. • The School History Project is a curriculum development project dedicated to the study of history by children from 13 to 16 years old.
