Lancing College is a spacious, cozy and prestigious secondary schools in Brighton (West Sussex, Lansing, about 1.5 hours drive to London and 30 minutes to Brighton). Lansing College offers a beautiful view of the surrounding green hills and a spacious seaside, and the well-groomed territory and picturesque surroundings give international pupils opportunities for pleasant walks and picnics.

The school was founded in 1848 by Nathaniel Woodard, who aimed to give children a quality education, to develop love and the desire to learn, to develop children from the academic, creative and athletic aspects. The school  provides not only  quality knowledge but also broadens the horizons of pupils, instills in them love for study, for self-knowledge, stimulates them to acquire new knowledge. The atmosphere here is very friendly, the teaching staff is constantly in close interaction with the students, always happy to share experience, knowledge and advice, help in resolving issues and conflicts.

The school underwent a major modernization in 1978, thanks to which a swimming pool, its own theater and design center, an extensive library, well-groomed fields for sports games appeared on the campus. More recently, the school of the Mouden joined the Lancing College system, which made it possible to teach a broader age range of children - now students from 3 to 13 years can apply for education. About 500 schoolchildren aged 13-18 study at the college for a high school, GCSE and A-level programs.

Each teacher has the goal to give the child a full range of knowledge, timely advice and guidance, to give the right direction in development and learning. With the help of qualified teachers, children learn to be responsible for their decisions and actions, work individually and in a team, begin to appreciate the support of a friend and colleague. All teachers have extensive experience working with foreign students.

Academic standards supported by Lanсing College are very high and require students to remain vigilant and full of dedication. This is not only a large amount of academic knowledge, but also a pronounced desire to gain new skills, intensive development of their own intellectual potential. The maximum capacity of the class does not exceed 22 people, There is 1 qualified and experienced teacher  for every 8 students on the average. Each scientific department of the school is managed by the coordinator: his task is to ensure the full and comprehensive development of the student. The coordinator also prepares a full report on the student's progress in the middle of each semester: it helps to see weaknesses and gaps in knowledge, insufficiently deeply learned learning topics and, accordingly, to focus on them in more detail. Also, each student has a mentor who will always help in solving domestic, academic and organizational issues.

Review about Lancing College

Sid
(05.10.2021)
Good morning, My nephew 15 years old and in 10th grade. we are looking for a scholarship for her middle school education. Boarding school. In Brighton. To start as soon as possible.
Catherine B.
(Lancing College review)

Beautiful school with a strong focus on the sport. This is a boarding school (children can live there), so they do it all the time - the British like to not waste a minute.

There are two main kinds of sports (football and tennis). If you do not want to practice professionally, you can not do it (although this is very welcome), but other sports sections (they are already a choice in a variety of options) are mandatory only if there is no exemption from an officially licensed doctor (and most likely they will register swimming, pilates and something else).

As a separate bonus, I note the proximity to Brighton: I have been studying there for some time. Beautiful sea resort, beautiful and developed (at the same time, not noisy and not dirty).
