Review about Jacobs University Bremen

Nastasya
(01.07.2023)
I'm a second-year student at Jacobs majoring in Global Economics and Management. We chose this option because we were looking for a program in English and there was housing in Bremen. I like everything about the university, except for the slightly high, in my opinion, tuition fees. The course is very well structured, the teachers at the faculty are excellent and charismatic. I like that there are no huge classes, classes are held in small groups, teachers are very attentive to students, try to involve everyone in the learning process.
Peter
(20.04.2023)
Entered Jacobs 2 years ago. I considered only English-language programs, since German was at the A2 level. English is the main language at the university, but outside of it everything is in German, so I would recommend going here with absolutely zero German. If you already have basic knowledge of the language, you can learn German here quite quickly, you can take language courses at the university, and at the exit from the university you will have 2 languages. The teachers here are very good, but now the teaching staff is changing, some teachers who I really like want to leave, but several new adequate and interesting professors have appeared.
Jeanne
(25.10.2022)
I study at the Faculty of Chemistry. The load on dz is very large, they give a lot of material, the requirements for students are high. Therefore, all the main time is spent only on the study and preparation of dz. We also have a lot of laboratory work and practice. Of course, this is a big plus. The university is generally very good for studying chemistry and biology and graduates have good employment opportunities, because the university cooperates with large companies and factories for the production of medicines. Most of the students are from Eastern Europe, so there is no language barrier, but there is not always time to relax with classmates, as you have to study a lot.
Irene
(25.08.2019)
This university was recommended to us by the agency for foreign education SMAPSE, where we turned for help in choosing a university in Germany for our son. It turned out to be difficult for us to choose a program on our own, as we wanted our son to study according to an international program in English and additionally take German lessons at the university. I want to express our gratitude to the manager Julia N for the selection of the program and assistance with enrollment. It turned out that it was not so easy to choose a program in the field of interest to us in English, since my son wanted to study chemistry, and most universities in Germany offered only humanitarian areas in English. Jacobs has a very large selection of programs in English, including technical areas. My son enrolled in the Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology program. I am very pleased with my studies and teachers on the course. The university also has very modern and affordable accommodation, despite the fact that the cost of the training itself is not low. But there are no alternatives to this university in Germany in English.
