The International School of Management was founded in Dortmund in 1990. ISM future experts in management and business: ISM students develop language and intercultural skills, study foreign languages intensively, complete integrated semesters at one of ISM's 190 partner universities, and internships abroad. ISM offers full-time and part-time undergraduate undergraduate and graduate programs.

The frankfurt am Main campus opened in 2007. The city with the highest density of jobs in Germany, a major European financial and service center, is actively developing other important sectors: creative industries, information technology and telecommunications, biotechnology and life sciences, logistics and industry.

Educational process

International students can take a 3-week intensive German course before the start of the semester, receiving 6 ECTS per course. Price – 480€ + additional fee for books/study materials

Facilities and equipment at International School of Management (ISM) Campus Frankfurt

The Frankfurt am Main campus was founded in 2007 and is located in the Sachsenhausen district, right next to the South Railway Station, just two underground stations from the city center. 

Admission dates and extra charges

Expenses for teaching materials - depending on the course of study and the semester, the cost varies from about 30-100 €.

Enrolment process

For bachelor's degree

  • In the admission process, those applicants who are best suited to study at ISM due to their abilities, motivation and personality traits are selected.
  • The admission process takes place in one day and is divided into two parts: written assessments of academic performance in mathematics and English (online via Skype), a personal interview (online via Skype).
  • The assessment includes a test in mathematics and English. Bachelor's degree programs taught in English do not require prior knowledge of German, there is no need for a test or a preliminary course.
  • Foreign applicants who cannot confirm the B2 level in German must take German as a second foreign language. All other applicants must choose between French and Spanish. If they already have skills in one of these languages, they will also be tested.
  • A personal interview is an interview about your career, your professional and personal goals, motivation to study.

If you have completed preparatory , you can use the services of a third-party certified provider or take intensive ISM preparation courses. At ISM, these courses are conducted in English and Mathematics. The preparatory course of mathematics includes the solution of equations and systems of equations, differential and integral calculus. Cost of preparatory courses:

  • English – 360€
  • Mathematics – 270€.

Certificates must be provided in writing (number of lessons, teacher, period, student) no later than the day of enrollment.

To the Magistracy

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. Applicants present the results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the entrance test.

After online registration, applicants receive a list of questions, they prepare answers in the form of a presentation and written work for the day of the interview. Answers should be sent by e-mail at least 48 hours before the interview, so that the admissions committee has time to evaluate them. Otherwise, applicants are not allowed to participate in the selection procedure.

The purpose of the interview is to study the qualities of the applicant's character. The applicant talks about career, professional, personal goals and motivation to study. In addition, the curriculum manager will discuss the results of the case study during the interview.

On MBA

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. Applicants will present the results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the entrance test. After online registration, applicants will receive questions that they must submit in the form of a presentation and written development by the day of the interview. The results of the case study should be sent by e-mail at least 48 hours before the interview. 

The personal interview is conducted in English. The purpose is to assess the motivation and suitability of the applicant, and the knowledge of the English language is also assessed.

Upon successful completion of the entrance test, students will receive a letter of acceptance with deposit information:

  • 3000€ for candidates for bachelor's degree,
  • 3500€ for candidates for master's degree.

Students have 10 working days to accept the offer, sign the letter of acceptance and make a deposit.

Perspectives

The Career Center organizes various events: Career Day or company presentations. Students access job postings on the ISM Job Portal and learn about internships already completed by ISM students in a shared database. The Career Center supports students when applying and preparing for an interview.
