Humboldt-Institut are balanced, intensive programs for learning German, available to adults and children. The courses are held in different cities of Austria and Germany: each will be able to choose the most comfortable conditions for study, travel, see the sights and monuments, get acquainted with the culture and history of the host country. Summer camps are distinguished by high quality of educational programs, comfortable accommodation conditions and a rich, interesting program of extra-curricular leisure and recreation.

The small town of Hamm used to be a well-known mining center, and now it is a city with an extensive cultural component. Also there is a huge number of gardens, parks and recreational areas - among the outstanding attractions can be noted the Maximillian Park with the famous sculpture of a glass elephant.

Quick overview: Summer German for teenagers is quite intensive educational course, so it is offered to active, smart international pupils, ready for an active rhythm of classes.

About the educational program:

  • 25 language classes per week;
  • Educational group - not more than 10 people;
  • Lesson duration - 45 minutes;
  • Minimum level of language for admission: Beginner;
  • Duration of the course: from 2 weeks;

The information in the lessons is presented in an interesting, non-boring form - a large number of interactive, role games, simulated situations and dialogues are used. 

Advantages of the language course:

  • Development of communication and speech skills;
  • Correction of accent and pronunciation;
  • Expansion of vocabulary.

Every day, students perform a block of homework, and every week - the final test of the material passed. So Teachers can more closely monitor the level of progress, if necessary adjust the curriculum, focus more on hard topics or language aspects.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Residences are located directly on the campus: school staff guarantee the safety of students around the clock, monitor the observance of order and discipline, create a friendly and warm atmosphere. For the students of the Humboldt-Institut Heessen Castle, cozy double rooms are offered (common facilities are located on the floors). The age and international criteria, as well as the knowledge of the German language of each student are taken into account when resettling. Meals are organized according to the full boarding scheme, three times a day, light snacks and fresh fruit are provided twice a day.

Most leisure activities, entertainment and excursions are already included in the cost of the Humboldt-Institut Heessen Castle program. Studying continues beyond the class: students can develop and consolidate their skills and knowledge in a relaxed, friendly environment. For the international students, various barbecues and beach volleyball matches, competitions in billiards or basketball, creative classes and parties around the campfire are organized. You can play table or classic football, streetball, take a table for table tennis, learn climbing, go for a walk in a canoe or mountain bike. Evenings of board games and fun themed parties, hiking and picnics are also organized.

A full day excursion is organized every Saturday: it can be Cologne, the zoo in Munster, the Chocolate Museum or the Moehne lake.

Summer Camp The Humboldt-Institut Heessen Castle is held in the town of Hamm, in the present majestic castle of Heessen. Here there is an unusual medieval atmosphere, the spirit of antiquity and past times is felt. The castle is built in the Gothic style on the banks of the River Lippe, its grounds include spacious and green parks, lawns, gardens and avenues and even a small island in the middle of the river. In modern buildings, the campus houses student residences and its own spacious dining room, certified by the German Nutrition Society.
