The Holland International Study Center (the Dutch International Education Center) is an educational center that specializes in preparing foreign applicants for admission to the Dutch higher educational institutions. The Center offers 2 or 3-term courses in one of two branches - Amsterdam or Groningen.

Educational programs, International Foundation Year (Business and Management, Science and Technology) and the University of Applied Sciences International Foundation Year, provide intensive English language studying, adaptation to the educational system, and development of research skills. The English Language Preparation program (available only within the framework of the University of Applied Sciences International Foundation Year) means an improvement in the level of English for a one-term program.

After graduation, students can be enrolled in the undergraduate program of one of the eight partner universities:

1) Amsterdam City (15 minutes by bike to the educational center)

Activities Holland International Study Center

Living in Amsterdam, students immerse in the unique atmosphere of the city with a population of about 800 thousand people 180 (!) of different nationalities. Festivals and events of various subjects in the field of culture, music, cinema, sports are constantly held in the city.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

The International Foundation Year program (directions of Business and Management, Science and Technology):

  • Age of students at time of admission from 17 years
  • The level of English in IELTS from 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in the section of the letter and not below 4.5 in all other sections)
  • Graduated High school (marks 4 and 5 in the Russian certificate).

Program of the University of Applied Sciences International Foundation Year:

  • Age of students at time of receipt from 17 years old
  • Level of English in IELTS from 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in the letter section and not below 5.0 in all other sections)
  • High school graduated (marks 4 and 5 in the Russian certificate).

The English Language Preparation program (available only at the University of Applied Sciences International Foundation Year):

  • Age of students at the time of enrollment of 17 years
  • Level of English in IELTS from 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in the section of the letter and not below 4.5 in all other sections)
  • The finished senior (marks 4 and 5 in the Russian certificate).

Recommendations on when to apply

Language courses, schools and children's language camps Primary and secondary education - private schools Preparation programmes for entering universities - higher education Higher education (after completing accredited programs A-level, IB, High School) - Bachelor, Master, MBA
- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)
- there are some very popular and high demand children's camps, where the applications need to be submitted 1 year in advance (in particular Switzerland , Great Britain , USA , Canada , Austria)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the program,
- for Foundation and Pathway programs, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are usually required, respectively

- recommended submission one year before the start of the program,
- the deadline normally closes in January, for TOP HEIs and, as a rule, in March in other universities
- for a bachelor, a Foundation or Pathway preparatory program a completed A-level, IB, High School + IELTS / TOEFL are required
- for Masters you need a graduated higher education, in some cases you need a pre-Masters program
- MBA requires completed higher education, work experience preferably at least 2-3 years, etc.
