The concept of Home Language International was developed back in 1979 and was originally used only for learning English - but the increased interest of students from all over the world led to a rapid growth in the popularity of the program, and today Home Language International participants can study 20 foreign languages ​​in 35 countries!
The uniqueness of the program is that each student lives and learns directly in the home of an experienced, qualified teacher. You completely immerse yourself in the cultural and linguistic atmosphere of the host country: constantly communicating with native speakers (at least a teacher and his family), you will not only improve your language skills in a short time, but also learn a lot about the traditions, culture, art and customs of the new countries.
Foreign language lessons are also held in the teacher's home, individually. All the attention of the teacher is focused only on you: he closely monitors your progress and achievements, carefully explains especially difficult and incomprehensible topics and language aspects, if necessary stops at the specified places in more detail. You can choose the intensity and theme of the classes - all studying is subordinated to the achievement of your personal goals, it is guided by your requests and needs. Thanks to such a personal approach, students of any age and any level of initial knowledge can take part in the Home Language International program - for everyone there is an effective and comfortable course of study.

Portuguese + multipurpose events
General course, which will suit any category of students, regardless of their level of education or age. For each week of your stay there are 10 individual, intensive language classes, and the remaining time you can visit excursions, tourist places and routes, walk around the city and give time to shopping. The teacher accompanies you and is always ready to go to your meeting, having developed the most interesting program of leisure, recreation and entertainment.
Universal activities (without language lessons)
All the time the teacher is still being given to you - but this version of the program does not provide for Portuguese lessons. You will learn the language directly in the language environment, communicating with native speakers: during walks, excursions, events, shopping, socializing with the teacher's family and his friends. You can go in for sports or creativity, go on a picnic or even a short trip to a nearby city! The teacher discusses the leisure program with you individually after the arrival, so that all your wishes and interests will be taken into account.
In addition, you can select additional program options. For example, book only accommodation in the teacher's home (half board and full), or just lessons (the teacher will come to you for individual lessons). English language programs are also offered online - lessons are conducted using Skype.

Accommodation and meals are organized according to the principle of full board: three meals a day, a comfortable furnished room and free use of all common premises and infrastructure of the house.
