What difficulties can foreign students face while studying at an American university?

Differences in cultures, educational systems, academic standards - and even personal expectations - can be shocking and hindered at getting started. Of course, there is also a difference between high school and university, and then there is an adaptation to a new country and a new language, which is also unusual. Many students also suffer from such seemingly trifles as different weather, food, time zones, etc.

Review about HIM Hotel Institute Montreux

Excellent educational institution in its class. The administration and staff of the school were able to create a wonderful learning atmosphere. Good attitude towards foreign students, everyone respects each other, for all the time of study I have never noticed any discrimination. The school works closely with the Four Seasons network, I did an internship there, now I work at Novotel in Zurich. When applying for a job, it was nice to find that HIM is known here and graduates are treated favorably) At least I didn't have any problems with employment.

HIM was drenched by my daughter 2 years ago. She studied at the bachelor's program. The first 2 courses were an introduction to the specialty. Management itself began in the last year. In total, the program lasted 3 years. Only the Hospitality Management program is taught at the institute, both at the bachelor's and master's levels. Therefore, if there is a desire to slightly change the direction of the magistracy, you will have to choose another educational institution. My daughter continued her master's studies in England. Many are worried about the recognition of diplomas obtained in private Swiss business schools. But I can say that we did not have any problems with the transfer to the magistracy in England.

Two years ago, we were puzzled by the selection of an educational institution for our son. He was finishing the 11th grade in Russia and wanted to study hotel management, as there were opportunities to develop in this direction. We turned to the Smaps agency for advice. I want to thank the company Smaps and manager Ildar for the ability to listen to the wishes of the child and choose really suitable options. Naturally, we were aware of the cost of such schools in Switzerland, so we were pleased that we were offered options in different price categories. HIM was chosen for its location, price, and I was also very pleased with the level of support they provide to graduates. Their internships are among the best in Switzerland. Recommend. Alexander.
