GrwP Llandrillo Menai was founded in 2012 as a result of the merger of Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. GrwP aims to support North Wales' economy by equipping local people with the skills and skills needed to ensure the region's competitiveness and success. GrwP's wide range of courses, high-quality learning experience, top-notch facilities, and talented staff all contribute to achieving these goals.

All GrwP Llandrillo Menai students can enjoy the college's sports facilities available at the Bangor and Rhos-on-Sea campuses, regardless of where they study. GrwP Llandrillo Menai operates across 16 buildings and campuses situated in various towns throughout North Wales. Each campus offers a range of courses and facilities designed to support education and skill development. Here's an overview of some of the main campuses:

1. Abergele Campus: Offers courses in fields such as Administration, Business, Computer Studies, Finance, and Languages. Facilities include a library, IT workshop, and a café.

2. Bangor Campus: Located in Upper Bangor, it features the historic Monks School building, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This campus houses a licensed teaching restaurant, hairdressers, beauty salons, and other amenities.

3. Rhos-on-Sea Campus: GrwP Llandrillo Menai's largest campus. It boasts a range of facilities, including dining areas, Starbucks coffee shop, educational restaurants, library, IT workshop, sports center with a gym and 3G field, the Center for the Marine and Built Environment (MBEC), and the Institute of Health and Care.

4. Glynllifon Farm: Spread over 300 hectares, this campus focuses on rural management and agricultural research. It includes an animal research center, engineering center, sawmill, and well-equipped academic building with modern classrooms and facilities.

5. Dolgellau Campus: Offers academic and professional courses for students after completing their school exams. The Meirionnydd sixth-form building is equipped with modern educational resources, and the campus features a dining room, library, Y Gader restaurant, hairdresser, and beauty salon.

6. Dolgellau - CaMDA (Center of Excellence in Renewable Energy and Construction): Located on the Marian campus, this center specializes in construction and engineering courses.

7. Llangefni Campus: Situated in picturesque surroundings on the outskirts of the city. It houses the Nursing Training Center, Construction Skills Center, Energy Center, and Heavy Installations Training Center. The campus offers a dining room, shop, Costa Coffee café, and library resource center.

8. Rhyl Campus: Located near the city center of Rhyl, this campus houses the Automotive Technology Centre, equipped with industry-standard facilities for automotive training, welding, and body repair.

These campuses collectively provide a diverse range of educational opportunities and resources to meet the needs of students pursuing various fields of study.

The academic year at GrwP Llandrillo Menai lasts from September to June and is divided into 3 terms: 

• First (September – December),
• Second (January-March),
• Third (April-June).

It is worth noting that the first trimester for new students does not begin in the usual way in early September, but at the end of August - on August 31. Dates are subject to change, clarifying information on the trimester schedule will be communicated to students upon admission.

In the registration form, you need to choose one of the available campuses that will be the most convenient for studying. Next, the candidate's personal data is filled in. Once an applicant has registered and applied for a full-time or part-time course, the status of the application can be tracked online.

Today, GrwP Llandrillo Menai runs courses for more than 34,000 students across North West Wales and central North Wales, the UK and other countries.

The overall A-Level exam pass rate is excellent, with 97.1% of students achieving grades from A* to E. GrwP Llandrillo Menai graduates have gone on to study at Oxford and Cambridge and other prestigious Russell Group universities.

One of the main ones is the level of English proficiency, confirmed by an IELTS, TOEFL or CAE exam certificate.

GrwP Llandrillo Menai offers scholarships of 25% to 40% to gifted students for the first year of their degree preparation courses. Main condition: scholarships are not available for one-year or full-time English language programs.

Scholarships can be awarded to existing students who achieve excellent academic success and demonstrate great potential. Scholarships of £500 are offered to students progressing from 3 A-Levels to higher education programmes at GrwP Llandrillo Menai.
