Graduate School of Engineer (Ensicaen) is one of the French universities, the profile of which are engineering specialties of the magistracy.
The university was founded in 1911-1912 as the Institute of Applied Sciences - part of the University of Caen. About 750 students study here annually, 15% of whom are foreigners. The teaching staff includes about 85 highly qualified specialists of various specialties.

Admission dates and extra charges
The French system of engineering education includes 2 stages:
- 2 years in preparatory classes in secondary schools, where students prepare national competitive examinations for admission to the 1st year of engineering school (level: bachelor's degree + 2 years)
- 3 years in engineering institutes to obtain an engineering degree.
The first year corresponds to a bachelor's degree, an engineering or master's degree is prepared within the last two years. Direct enrollment in the 4th year after the bachelor's degree is possible for selected university students after studying at the bachelor's degree in natural sciences.
Internships are held every year in March, May or June-August, lasting 4 weeks, 4-6 months depending on the stage of study.
Education takes place in French, English. For study, courses are held in German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Italian.
The academic year is two semesters, several weeks of session throughout the year.
