GLS Munich Castle Summer School is a summer language camp for teenagers who want to improve their German, to get acquainted with culture of Germany, the sights of one of the most interesting regions of the country. The school is located on the territory of the historical landmark - Burg Schwaneck castle. The latter is 10 km from the center of Munich. The castle stands on the river bank. From its windows you can see a stunning view of the mirror-like water surface and a forest park.
Built in the 19th century, Burg Schwaneck today is renovated and modernized. It is equipped with modern equipment. Student residence in Burg Schwaneck corresponds to modern ideas about comfort of accommodation. At the same time the complex has preserved a unique architectural style, the charm of antiquity.

The safety of our campers is our top priority. We conduct thorough risk assessments for all activities and excursions, and our staff members are trained in first aid and emergency procedures. We also adhere to local safety regulations and guidelines.

Standard German course
Quick overview: A two-week vacation program of general German with a study of the main aspects of the language and an emphasis on communication.
About the educational course: The program of the course for international teenagers includes:
- Study of grammar;
- Practice of reading;
- Writing block;
- Expanding vocabulary.
Educational program takes place in an interactive form in a small educational groups (not more than 12 students). During 45 minutes lessons students are invited to participate in trainings, discussions. The program also provides for group work, self-training.
The academic schedule is 20 lessons per week.
Educational process continues in an informal setting (on extra-curricular activities, excursions, interpersonal communication).
Students age: 14 - 17 years old.
Requirements for enrollment: from elementary language level.
The result of the educational program:

Private lessons
DID Deutsch-Institut students can take individual lessons: either as a separate course, or in addition to any standard school course. The intensity and program varies depending on the needs of the student.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Students live on the GLS Munich Castle campus. Rooms in the residential wing of the castle are designed for 4-5 people. Facilities are located in the lobby. Three meals a day are offered in the camp. Full board is provided in the school cafeteria.

Extracurricular program is multifaceted, interesting. Two events are organized for students every day. Adolescents in the summer camp in Munich can, together with new friends from different countries, be engaged in rafting, swimming, volleyball, playing mini golf, and participating in rallies.
Also, an out-of-class program provides 2 excursions per week. One of them is for the whole day. During excursions, students get acquainted with sights of Munich and the surrounding area.
Daily routine
Before lunch students attend German lessons. In the evening, for international students there is entertainment on campus.

In Burg Schwaneck, where the school is open, there are modern educational rooms, a library, a computer class, an Internet cafe, a spacious hall and a lounge zone. Also in the castle there are the student bedrooms. For entertainment there are bowling halls, billiards. In the park surrounding the school, there are playgrounds, tables for playing tennis, a cafe.
