Things to know about

In 2017, Feltonfleet's archery teams won five national awards.

In April 2023, a new multi-purpose playing area, MUGA, was opened, which provides additional space for all-round cricket for a number of other sports.

In the summer of 2023, construction began on the new Literature Centre, which includes a brand new library, an open-plan classroom and additional study areas.

Kindergarten (preparatory group)

Throughout the preparatory phase, pupils receive an excellent education and pastoral care. Basic academic skills and personal qualities are developed. All kindergarten students are educated primarily at Calvi House and its grounds, regularly visiting the swimming pool, dance studio, Ashbee Theater and gymnasium on the main school campus.

Junior School

A focused emphasis on developing  independence and a positive attitude towards life. Leadership training helps students gain new experiences and strive to be the best versions of themselves. Students are already starting to study in most academic subjects: mathematics, English, history, geography, science, etc.

High school

  • Age — from 9 to 11 years old.

Individual qualities are developed, a thirst for learning is fostered, and the skills necessary for students throughout the curriculum are improved. In all lessons, students are taught by subject specialists. Students' personal organizational skills improve as they mature in school. Numerous enrichment opportunities unleash potential and include sports, art, drama and music.

Middle Grades

At this stage, students follow a broad and rich curriculum that thoroughly prepares them for success in high school and beyond. At the heart of it all is academic rigor along with an emphasis on developing core thinking and learning skills, analyzing, improving, and communicating.

The cost of living on full board is from £8450 (per semester).

Accommodation, meals, prices

At Feltonfleet School, full board is provided for 4 nights per week, while flexible board (flexi) is provided for certain days. Warm, spacious, clean rooms are designed for 4-6 people and are equipped with all amenities. Students can bring items from home to decorate their space, making it more familiar, cozy. In the evenings, there are activities such as dodgeball, catch-up and arts and crafts workshops, additional classes are available for boarders.

  • Full-board children arrive on Monday morning or Sunday evening by arrangement and leave on Friday at 16.00, when the school week ends for all students.
  • The flexi-boarding option allows children to stay in a boarding house for a specific day or several nights a week throughout the semester. Pupils follow the same rules as full-week boarders, with separate rooms with beds and storage space so they don't have to bring too much stuff from home each week.

Healthy eating is at the heart of Feltonfleet's food management approach. The school encourages a transition to a healthier lifestyle and works hard to create a balanced diet. The menu is fresh, modern, nutrient-balanced, and made with local ingredients. The buffet allows students to choose a hot main course with a vegetarian menu, homemade soup, a variety of salads, baked potatoes, fruit, yoghurts and more. For boarding students, the day begins with a breakfast consisting of a choice of cereals, toast and croissants.

Activities Feltonfleet School

Drama, dance, visual arts and music are an integral part of the education at Feltonfleet. Throughout their studies, students are given many opportunities to develop their skills and enjoy participating in the arts to the fullest extent possible.

The school has a wide range of clubs to choose from, including some activities specific to Feltonfleet, designed to enrich the core curriculum and unleash the talents of individual students, such as:

Facilities and equipment at Feltonfleet School

Feltonfleet School occupies a 25-acre site on the outskirts of Cobham, Surrey, conveniently located next to the A3, M25 and A245 roads, providing easy access to both Surrey and South West London. Buses and minibuses run daily to the school from a number of cities, including Wimbledon, Putney, Isher and Southfields. New routes are being considered depending on demand.

The school has an excellent range of amenities. At the beginning of 2015, a modern performing arts center with 400 seats was opened, in the courtyard of the center there is a wonderful landscaped garden, open for walking and intended for all students. The classrooms combine modern technology with all the features of a spacious, traditional home environment. Spacious classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards. The territory is landscaped with playgrounds, outdoor sports fields, students have access to an indoor pool and a modern library.

Admission dates and extra charges

The school year at Feltonfleet School runs from September to July. It is divided into 3 trimesters: the first and second are separated by the Christmas holidays, the second and third are Easter. The life and daily routine of students living on campus is determined by the schedule that is developed by the school's teachers.

Additional costs include:

  • Registration fee (non-refundable),
  • Additional entertaining excursions, concerts, etc.,
  • Uniforms and sports uniforms,
  • Study materials,
  • Pocket money.

Enrolment process

To enroll in Feltonfleet Junior School (children from 7 years old), the following steps must be taken:

  • Register a child, when registering, fill out a questionnaire and pay the registration fee.
  • After registration (traditionally in November), the child receives an official invitation to get acquainted with the school and an interview with the principal.
  • The child will have to be tested to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Provide copies of the most recent school report (assessment), then a transfer report from the current school where the child is studying will be requested.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

A child's assessment for admission will consider:

  • literacy and numeracy,
  • ability to reason,
  • transfer reports and the most recent report from the current school,
  • observation of individual and group activities in the company of other candidates, including with students from Feltonfleet,
  • hobbies and talents, participation in extracurricular activities,
  • An informal interview with the principal or principal of the junior school.

Scholarships Feltonfleet School

Feltonfleet School provides financial support to families to pay tuition fees. Parents and guardians who are eligible for the scholarship can benefit from a discount of up to 100% of the tuition fee depending on each applicant's individual circumstances.

The amount of the scholarship is determined not by the level of academic ability of the child, but by the scale of financial need. Another important factor in the provision of support is the potential of the child within the walls of the school. Any scholarship awarded will be checked annually (the financial solvency of the family), the student's academic performance will be checked annually.

Financial support is available to parents of any potential candidate and parents of current students.
