Dublin City University (DCU) - Summer Camp Oscars International is a program of special English courses for students. Courses are conducted by the international school "Oscars International" - a company specializing in teaching English and having a reputation of exceptionally professional and reliable. Oscars International is accredited by the British Council and the Irish organization ACELS (The Accreditation and Coordination of English Language Services). The courses are held at the Dublin City University (DCU), a prestigious and renowned university in Ireland.

In summer camp programs, students aged 12 to 18 from anywhere in the world can take part. The camp is held in July and August, participants choose one of two programs:

  • Standard Course (Apprentice Experience)
  • Course "City experience: Dublin" (City Experience: The Dubliner).

Each program includes 20 language classes per week (15 hours) plus group lessons, excursions and activities. Classes in English are conducted exclusively by highly professional teachers - native speakers - and pass in a friendly and light atmosphere in small groups. Language lessons are held from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:30. The high professionalism of teachers, carefully designed programs and other factors contribute to the rapid progress of students in knowledge and the successful increase in the level of language and general educational knowledge.

A great advantage of the programs is the availability of additional thematic blocks depending on the type of the course: students study business and various sciences or explore the city spaces and attractions of Dublin. Much attention is paid to extra-curricular activities: students attend excursions, various attractions of the city and surrounding areas, shops and shopping centers. A rich and diverse program of events is organized on the campus: themed festivals and festivals, discos and games - all this will not leave anyone aside, will allow you to relax from your studies and gain strength.

Standard Course (Apprentice Experience)

A one-of-a-kind program that combines English education and six hours a week of thematic design work. The main focus of the thematic work is given to give students an idea of ​​real subjects and problems with professionals who represent practical applications of the theory of objects. Each week is devoted to a specific topic and is based on group project work. Themes are built around three main blocks:

  • Product Design
  • Global Awareness
  • «Go Viral».

Lessons are held every day from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:30, followed by group sessions, consultations, practical classes. Evening time and days off are devoted to excursions and activities. Once a week, students visit various companies from the business world located in Dublin, where they have an excellent opportunity to follow the real work of the company and learn many things that will help them in their future professional activities. The high professionalism of teachers combined with the small size of the groups and the carefully designed structure of the program allow children to significantly improve the level of English and acquire many valuable knowledge in various fields.

The City Experience: The Dubliner course

This course combines English language teaching and urban space research in Dublin. Classes are held in small groups from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:30. With students, only highly qualified teachers work, which make the learning process for each student individual and most effective.

After lunch, group classes and classes are held, dedicated to urban research, evening time and weekends are devoted to recreation and various activities. During the excursions and visits to various places in the city, walks and outdoor recreation, children not only get acquainted with the unique architectural and cultural heritage of the city, but also actively practice the English language and receive a lot of pleasant impressions. The professionalism of teachers, the individual style of work and the rich constant practice of language causes the good progress of students in the language in a short time.

Students are accommodated in residences on the campus of Dublin City University (DCU).
