The Canadian International Learning School (CLLC) is one of the best learning centers in the country for studying English as a foreign language. The educational institution was founded in 2005 in Halifax, and today the school's branches are located in two of the country's largest cities - Ottawa and Toronto.

More than 10 years of successful work, use of advanced techniques, application of modern technologies - all this makes the educational process at this school as efficient as possible. The CLLC School is recognized as an authoritative institution at the national and international level and maintains partnerships with more than 40 different colleges and universities.

Intensive course

This program offers students studying English with a general or intensive load (from 26 to 38 lessons per week). Within the course, students study all the main sections of the language - grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and also work on oral and written speech. This program is based primarily on communication, the main task of which is to start using existing knowledge and gain new skills during the academic period.

Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes, and classes are held in small groups of up to 15 people. All students are divided into academic groups based on the level of knowledge, which is determined on the day of arrival with the help of special testing. However, the age and nationality of fellow students can be very different.

Preparing for IELTS

The IELTS international exam preparation program includes 25 to 40 lessons per week. The course follows a methodology that has been specially developed for the most effective increase of the vocabulary and the extension of grammatical, improvement of the written and oral speech of the speaker. The language level is from Intermediate.

Also, within the program, students will get acquainted with the necessary requirements of the exam and its format. To monitor the progress of each student for 5 minimum weeks of studying, the teacher conducts several academic tests in the group, so that if necessary, adjust the educational course and maximize the chances of each student to successfully pass IELTS exams.

Preparation for TOEFL

The program of preparation of students for passing the international TOEFL exams includes from 25 to 40 academic hours per week for a duration of at least 4 weeks. On the course, students will get acquainted with the format of the exam and its requirements. The teacher works with a studying group of up to 10 people in a special method, which aims to maximize the grammar and vocabulary of the English language, and to improve the oral and written speech of each student.

Also during the studying period, several tests will be conducted, the results of which will be clear for the progress of each student. If necessary, the teacher will be able to change the curriculum or further consider a topic, since his main task is to maximally prepare each of the students for the TOEFL examinations.

Preparing for the University

This academic program is aimed at qualitative preparation of young people for study in Canadian higher educational institutions. Within the framework of the course, students will learn how to correctly allocate time, to outline, to prepare for exams, to create academic presentations and write essays on various topics.

Foreign students who have completed the course in one of the branches of the CLLC network will be able to enter partner colleges or universities in the future without testing for English. The minimum duration of the program is 12 weeks.

Accommodation, meals, prices

While studying at CLLC, students are offered accommodation in Canadian host families. The school carefully selects families who must meet certain criteria to participate in the program and receive foreign guests in their home. Many families have been cooperating for more than one year, and each of the families is trying to create a cozy atmosphere for their guests "at home away from home." This means that every student in the host family can feel like a full member of the Canadian family, and will also receive care and support.

All families live 40-50 minutes from the CLLC campus, and nearby there are several public transport routes to get to the educational building as quickly as possible. Living in a Canadian family, together with a separate room, a foreign student receives a full three meals a day.
