Academic Summer Courses

Students from 10 to 17 years old are offered academic courses, each of which can be studied for two weeks:
- English language
Interactive lessons aimed at groups of different language levels help students improve their skills in reading, writing, listening comprehension, speaking and vocabulary. In the process of learning, students regularly communicate with each other and with teachers, immediately working out the knowledge gained, and also work on a personal presentation project.
- English for Academic Purposes
Suitable for students who already have a high level of written and spoken English. The course will help students prepare for intensive studies in high school, college and university through the study of standard academic subjects, IELTS testing.
- Enterprise
The program offers students to develop creative and critical thinking by learning the basics of starting and running a business. In the process of learning, children will create their own project, relying on the experience of the world's leading entrepreneurs.
- Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain
The course is a study of the most advanced technologies of our time. The basics included in the curriculum will create a solid knowledge of the work of AI and equipment, digital identification.
- Introduction to Jurisprudence (14-17 years old)
Students learn the basics of the theory of law and its doctrines, various areas of legal practice and how they are applied in real conditions: international politics and trade.
- Engineering, Technology & Design
These three directions shape the modern world. The interdisciplinary course will give students an idea of the development of new technologies in the process of studying the basics of mathematics, natural and computer sciences, and economics. Students will acquire the skills of technical drawing, computer-aided design, design work.
When studying in any of these programs, students are offered full board on school grounds, recreational activities on campus, and field trips.

Electives at Charterhouse School are exciting courses in different directions, each of which consists of 20 hours of training for five days a week.
- Art
Students will develop skills and understanding of various media, materials and techniques of art, working under the guidance of experienced teachers with many years of experience in the field. Within two weeks, children will be trained in the basics and subtleties of working with different materials, drawing techniques and create their own project.
- Robotics & Game Design (13-17 years old)
The course uses gamification, which enlivens the process of exploring areas of modern technological advancements through fun exercises. Children will learn how to write code in various programming languages by playing computer games and creating robots. They will be able to create their own game in Roblox Studio and publish it on public spaces. Robotics is revealed in the program as a construction of Lego using sensors, motors, mathematical and logical operations.
- Drama (13-17 years old)
The program is suitable for those who are interested in dramatic art and want to participate in all aspects of this creative process. Working in a group, students will create, design, produce and play leading roles in productions of their own composition.
- Sport & Leadership
The program includes professional training under the guidance of experienced coaches in football, tennis, swimming, raft building, sailing, mountaineering and orienteering. With the campus's excellent state-of-the-art facilities, students will have access to indoor halls and outdoor areas that will prepare them both physically and emotionally for the future that awaits them in high school and university. The course is designed for both beginners and specialists in any sports direction.
- Lawn tennis
The elective is suitable for students who already have skills in tennis. Professional coaches improve the physical training of their pupils, opening them up to new techniques in this area of sports. Classes include the development of speed and strength, balance, throws, return serves, and more.
- Photography (13-17 years old)
Working with a professional photographer, students will first learn about the various basic techniques and areas of photography before focusing on their own project for a mini-portfolio that will be shown to the commission at the end of the course. The program will analyze the technique of working with a digital, film and telephone camera, the use of lenses and film development, the setting of light and shadow, and photo processing.
Any of the electives includes two weeks of exciting learning, full board on campus, field trips and recreational activities.
