Centrale Nantes offers students an equipped campus off the Atlantic coast.

Centrale Nantes maintains ongoing partnerships with CROUS, some private residences. The Department of International Relations helps to book accommodation for international students.

In most cases, student residences or homeowners will ask for a guarantor of the lease in France. The guarantor is legally liable for rent delays. The university cooperates with VISALE (acts as a free guarantor for students under 31 years of age, whose monthly rent does not exceed 600 € / month), GARANTME (open to French and foreign students, provides a reduction in tuition fees for Students of Centrale Nantes).

Students, staff, teachers have access to a canteen on campus.

Requirements for applicants to engineering specialties

It is advisable to pass DUT in the following specialties:

  • Industrial design and maintenance
  • Quality, production logistics and organization
  • Materials Science and Engineering
  • Physical measurements.

It is advisable to conduct BTS in the following specialties:

  • Industrial product design
  • Shipbuilding
  • Mechanical and industrial automation
  • Industrialization of mechanical products
  • Industrial service.

Requirements for admission to the magistracy

The course accepts international students with a bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent in a field related to science, technology.

French and European students with a license or equivalent degree must complete their studies by the end of August in order to enroll in the Centrale Nantes Master's program (September). Candidates must have a good command of mathematics, fluent in written and spoken English. A candidate whose mother tongue is not English must pass a recognized international English language test.

Requirements for knowledge of English:

  • TOEFL – IBT 80 or ITP 550, paper test 60
  • Cambridge B2 First Test – 173 or higher
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced Test – 160 or higher
  • IELTS – 6.5 or higher
  • TOEIC – from 800.

Scholarships Ecole Centrale de Nantes School of Engineering

Centrale Nantes Elite scholarships – up to €3000 for two years – are awarded to students of non-European descent accepted for the first year of one of centrale Nantes' master's programmes.
