Review about Cavendish School of English

Oleg
(08.03.2019)
We booked a two-week study at the Cavendish school in Bournemouth for two children and one adult. The whole Head of Marketing Cavendish School of English, a certain Irina Escot, told us that we had booked accommodation in a wonderful family, both parents are university teachers in Bournemouth, they have two children, we will have a whole floor of their home with their own bathroom and kitchen for just 375 pounds a week. Then she asked for a week about the payment, and although it was necessary to pay until February 28, we planned to make the payment on the 21st. We bought tickets in both directions, she asked if the tickets were bought - they informed her about it. Reported on the planned date of payment. DON'T GET TO THE BANK THIS DAY, we stayed at work. In the evening of 22 from the same beautiful Irina Escot, in which she writes that the family can not accept us - suddenly leaves, but this is nothing, we can stay for a week at the hotel for 480 pounds, and then, at the weekend, move into the family if the family will be back from the trip. Yes - and she goes on vacation for a week, but her colleagues, of course, will settle everything and find us another accommodation. The colleagues were silent for five days, then they sent the option - well, yes, from the family to the school instead of 20 minutes on foot, “just 20 minutes by bus,” but in the account, the registry: “the accommodation option can be changed.” We ask you to think again and remove it - well, no, the letter was written in accordance with the recommendations of the British Council and they will not change anything. We lost a lot of money and nerves and did not go anywhere. DO NOT CHOOSE CAVENDISH DCHOOL

Good afternoon, Oleg! Thank you for your feedback, it is unfortunate that your trip did not take place. When we offer options to our clients, we always warn that homestay is an option for trained students. It should also be noted that no school can guarantee that the family will not change, since these are living people and they may have unforeseen circumstances that will not allow them to accept students. In this case, schools offer a replacement, which was offered to you, as far as I understood from your review. When booking family programs, we always strongly recommend that you consider booking hotels or apartments, as several people can offer a small number of host families. We will be happy to help with booking your next trips, we have been working with language schools and camps for 10 years and helping students choose the right option. Regards, Smaps
