Master's degrees in Germany for international students are offered by more than 355 officially recognized higher education providers located in 165 regions of Germany. The country pays great attention to the promotion of cutting-edge research: government initiatives are aimed at providing funding to educational institutions, supporting the work of well-known research centers.
The German higher education system includes three types of educational institutions:
- universities: focused on the study of humanities, biology, philosophy, law,
- Universities of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschulen): focused on programs that prepare students for specific industries, monitor market needs, and focus on practical learning.
- Colleges of Art, Film, Music: prepare students for creative careers in the field of fine arts, film production, dance, producing, directing.
