The Bucksmore London Summer course is held in the heart of the capital of England: this is an intensive summer program for learning English, a unique opportunity to see the famous sights of London.

General english

The Bucksmore London program includes 25 hours of English per week in groups of up to 11 students. The academic part consists of a core English course, language learning, project preparation and London Experience classes dedicated to exploring the UK capital. Particular attention is paid to the cultural life of London, to acquaintance with historical sites in the lessons and after them.
At the London Experience lessons, the city comes to life in the classroom ^ students learn vocabulary and language skills that are useful to them in everyday life. These lessons are connected with the famous sights of London - the London Eye, Canary Wharf and Kensington. They will help students cope with real life situations: for example, order a curry in a restaurant on Brick Lane or bargain with a street vendor in Camden Market.
The course includes studying grammar and new words, honing their application in practice with a focus on the development of spoken English.
The objectives of the main course:
- The formation of linguistic skills, communication skills, overcoming the language barrier through an integrated learning system.
- Achievement of personal tasks of learning English.
- Understanding the content of books, films, songs, blogs, TV shows and articles in English.
The second part of the program is work on the project. Students perform assignments together, communicate with each other in English. Types of assignments for collaborative projects: Bucksmore President, Game Show, and Bucksmore News. The objectives of the project are to develop communication and communication skills in English. Students are divided into groups, work according to instructions, prepare a presentation and show it at the end of training.
Academic English classes allow you to master the technique of passing exams, develop reading, listening, speaking, writing skills. Academic English includes 3 hours each week and ends with the Bucksmore Assessment. A variety of classes and rich educational material motivates the student to develop linguistic skills.
The Bucksmore Assesment exam assesses students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills by offering a comprehensive assessment of English proficiency. Students take the exam at the end of the course: the assessment criteria are in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework for Determining the Level of Foreign Language Proficiency). At the end of the course, students receive certificates.
Individual online training with teachers in English. Study subjects in English, prepare for exams or just learn English. All teachers have a university education, including graduates of leading universities in the UK.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Students stay at Dinwiddy House, a short walk from King's Cross-St Station. The residence offers excellent living conditions: students are accommodated in apartments of 6-7 single rooms. A Bucksmore employee lives in each apartment. There is a shared kitchen with a kettle and fridge. All rooms are single with their own bathroom, boys and girls live separately. The residence is located 25 minutes walk or 17 minutes by bus from the audience.
Participants are provided with full board, packed lunch on excursion days.
Activities Bucksmore London Summer Kids Camp
The course includes excursions: one excursion outside of London every week + daily trips and walks around the city.
Since 2012, Bush House has been a key part of Strand's campus, and in the summer there are numerous extracurricular activities at Bucksmore. Bush House has been the headquarters of the BBC World Service for 70 years. The spacious room, located on one of the upper floors, offers stunning views of the Thames.
Bucksmore London Summer organizes 7 excursions in London in 2 weeks, as well as trips to one of the other cities in England for a full day every week. Asset managers provide a unique travel schedule.
