Enrolment process

Admissions process:

  • Step 1 – Collect basic information about the child

Completed applications are regularly reviewed by the admissions committee. As soon as all documentation is received, an official decision on admission will be issued within 7-10 working days.

Perspectives

Most BSKL students aspire to enroll in the best universities in the world. The institution has established close ties with leading universities, and a special head of Sixth Form can quickly respond to the ever-changing conditions of higher education. Each graduating student is assigned a mentor, a specialist in the student's field of interest, who provides ongoing support and guidance throughout the graduating class.

BSKL organizes information sessions about higher education for students and their parents to assist them in the process of entering the university. The vast majority of pupils tend to study at Russell Group universities in the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge, while the United States is also a popular destination for university admissions.

In the past, students have chosen:

  • University of Cambridge
  • University of Oxford
  • King's College London
  • Imperial College
  • University College London (UCL).

The local employment office is dedicated to providing students with the relevant information they need to apply, assisting with mock interviews and writing a personal application. Students attend local universities and job fairs, and the school invites admissions committees from universities in the UK, USA, Malaysia and Australia who attend the school. After graduating from GCSE, 11th grade students take part in a week-long conference on higher education in the UK or Malaysia – an opportunity for students to visit some of the best universities, meet with admissions teachers and start refining their aspirations for a degree.

All students will join the Independent Schools Careers Organization's (ISCO) Futurewise program to provide personalized career information and feedback. The school is a member of ISCO and SI-UK (Study in the UK) and will use both of these services to support the child with advice and guidance on career and university issues. BSKL also has access to experienced SAT and ACT consultants.
