The Foundation ANU Basic Course has been designed to give the applicant an appropriate academic level for subsequent study at the university. Subject to the requirements, the student will be guaranteed to be enrolled in the student's chosen bachelor's degree program.
It is available in three versions:
- The standard 4-semester program is a basic option that allows you to study the necessary basic and optional courses, get decent and sufficient GPA points for admission to ANU. This course gives students advanced opportunities to meet the preliminary criteria of the basic program and provides the necessary high level of English.
During the preparation, students master 20 courses in 4 semesters (5 courses per semester): of which 12 are basic, and 8 are elective disciplines (natural sciences, engineering sciences and computer sciences, business and economic sciences, art history, jurisprudence and social sciences).
- An accelerated program lasting 3 semesters is suitable for students who are confident that they will cope with the requirements of the basic program in a shorter period of time. It is assumed that students who choose this program for themselves are confident native English speakers.
For 3 semesters, students master 9 compulsory and 9 optional (natural science disciplines, engineering sciences and computer sciences, business and economic sciences, arts and art history, legal and social sciences).
- The extended program lasts 5 weeks; it is addressed to students in need of intensive language training. In parallel, students undergo a cultural immersion program, including a study trip to Sydney or the Illawarra area.
