Switzerland is the most popular destination for further education of schoolchildren with 9 classes of secondary education.
Schools in Switzerland offer several educational programs:
- Swiss Maturité - National Swiss Diploma
- IB (International Baccalaureate) - International Baccalaureate Program in English
- American High School - American School program
- A-Level - classic British educational system in English
- French Baccalaureate - National French Diploma in French
- Abitur is a national German educational program in German.
In addition to these programs, some private schools offer bilingual education and the opportunity to receive 2 diplomas of completed secondary education at once.
After the 9th grade of the school, students can enter the last 3 years of the school educational program (grades 10, 11 and 12). The first year is adaptation: schoolchildren will have the opportunity to improve their language level. At the end of grade 10, students must choose one of the above programs for the last two grades of high school. At the end of 12 classes and after receiving a diploma, students can apply to universities in the country and the world.
