All Nations Christian College is an independent evangelical interfaith Bible college for missionary education.

The purpose of the institution is to educate students of intercultural mission. Today, All Nations is one of the largest colleges of its type in Europe and welcomes students and their families from all over the world. The international teaching staff has a wide range of missionary and intercultural experiences. Many of the students have also already been to overseas missions, which further contributes to the fusion of ideas and the effectiveness of learning. 

In addition to the bachelor's and master's degree programs, the school also conducts various short-term courses and activities on the territory of Easneye. Students receive not only high-quality knowledge, but also an excellent social base that contributes to rapid personal development.

Educational process

Each student is assigned a personal mentor: they provide daily care and support, extracurricular education in worship, prayers, organize social events. Supervisors meet regularly with their students before the start of lectures on Tuesdays and Fridays every week during the semester.

Bachelor

  • Age – from 18 years
  • The period of study is from 1 year to 3 years.

The undergraduate program allows students to choose one of three types of higher education:

Certificate

The one-year course provides a core knowledge base in biblical and intercultural studies. This option is suitable for those who would like to prepare for difficult further training.

Diploma

A two-year program for those who would like to have a higher education in the field of ministry. During the first year, students explore the basic foundations of the faith, the second year is devoted to the study of different religions, apologetics, and is also built on social well-being, charity and practice in society. All students undergo a three-week internship to gain applied skills and experience.

Degree

The OU-validated degree course is designed for those who are preparing for long-term intercultural missionary service and value the balance of practical and academic learning. The degree program will enable students to develop communication skills and the ability to analyze, evaluate, and develop approaches to different cultural contexts. Students can earn a bachelor's degree in biblical and intercultural studies each year, either in-residence through on-campus training or in a flexible learning mode where nonresident, international, and campus students work together.

Master

  • Age – from 22 years
  • The training period is 11 months-2 years.

The postgraduate program was completely revised and updated, and in June 2018 was re-certified by the Open University (OU). The course is ideal for those who have several years of experience in Christian intercultural ministry and want to improve their practical skills.

Just like the bachelor's degree program, the master's program offers several types of education: certificate, diploma or degree.

Areas of study for the degree are Missiology. Specializations for obtaining a diploma and a degree are identical:

  • Contextual theology,
  • Missiology,
  • Global Ecclesiology,
  • Multicultural church,
  • Transformational development,
  • Transformational leadership,
  • Care for the staff, well-being.

You can study in the areas both full-time and online. All students get access to the same modules.

Terms of education:

  • Full-time – from 9 to 11 months,
  • Part-time study day – from 18 months to two years,
  • Online – from two to three years.

The certificate can be obtained by completing a seven-month course in a full-time department.

Course "On the Way"

  • Age – from 22 years
  • The training period is from 4 to 13 weeks.

Options for the duration of the course:

  • A ten-week core study program that covers the basics of a cross-cultural mission aimed at people who have little to no knowledge base in the field.
  • A 13-week online course providing a foundation for intercultural service. As members of the online community, students participate in an interactive course.
  • A five-day course or 20 hours of online lectures that provide the basics of understanding the intercultural mission and are designed specifically for people going on a short business trip (mission) to serve from two weeks to two months.

All of these courses aim to create cross-cultural learning communities with people from different cultures, generations, theological movements, and education to prepare them for the possibilities of modern faith and service.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The institution provides several accommodation options for both single students and families with children.

  • In one of the campus buildings there are rooms with private washbasins, bathrooms and kitchens are used by several residents from six rooms.
  • For families, apartments with kitchens, showers and toilets are offered. They are located both on and off campus. It is necessary to book accommodation in advance.

The cost of accommodation with full self-catering varies from 715 to 875 £ per room, from 800 to 1100 £ for renting an apartment. The price depends on the size of the premises and utilities.

The college assists families in raising children by assigning them to nearby kindergartens and private institutions for the time when parents attend classes.

Activities All Nations Christian College

Outside of school hours, the college organizes joint activities for students:

  • Joint ministry: visiting churches, social events,
  • Sports activities: football, table tennis, frisbee,
  • Rest: board games, movie nights,
  • Performances: musical, theatrical and dance.

The main purpose of educationin the institution is to create a believing society capable of bringing the ideas of Orthodoxy to the masses, so all extracurricular activities are directly related to service.

Facilities and equipment at All Nations Christian College

All Nations Christian College is located in a beautiful wooded area in Hertfordshire, north of London. The campus is equipped with:

  • Residential buildings for about 100 students,
  • Dining room, cafeteria,
  • Computer labs,
  • Lecture and conference halls,
  • Sports facilities: indoor and outdoor playgrounds, games and gyms,
  • A missionary library of more than 50,000 volumes and 40,000 indexed articles and 100 periodicals.

Classrooms for classes are equipped with induction loops for hearing-impaired students.

Near the campus there are many places necessary for a comfortable life: shops, banks, entertainment centers, swimming pools and cinemas.

Admission dates and extra charges

Educationin standard bachelor's and master's programs takes place during the academic year: from September to July. Classes are organized only on weekdays, from Monday to Friday. Holidays are provided on the days of international, public holidays, weekends - Saturday and Sunday.

Additional costs:

  • Registration fee – 525£,
  • The student council fee is £18 per year,
  • Utility bills – £ 750 per year,
  • Accommodation, meals (full board) – from 5200£ per year,
  • Books, consumables as needed,
  • Personal spending.

Enrolment process

Consideration of the application usually takes from 6 to 8 weeks from the date of submission of the application. It is recommended to leave as much time as possible between the submission of the application and the date when the student is going to start education. Consideration of foreign applications may take a little longer. 

If an applicant would like to visit campus before applying, they should allow time to attend one of the Open Days on campus and with the help of video technology. If this is not possible, individual visits may be arranged depending on the availability of staff. 

Step-by-step admission process:

  • Fill in the application form,
  • Send the necessary documents to the postal address of the admissions office,
  • Pay the registration fee,
  • Complete an hour-long interview with an employee of the institution – in person or online via Skype, Zoom or phone,
  • Receive confirmation of registration for the selected course.

Future graduate students of some programs must pass an entrance test in the format of article analysis and report writing.

Perspectives

Graduates of the undergraduate program are employed in a variety of mission-related positions, with a small percentage enrolling in further education courses.

Potential post-graduation jobs include:

  • Leadership of missionary organizations,
  • Teaching Bible/Missionary Subjects in Theological Colleges,
  • Leadership in the church,
  • Discipleship of Service,
  • The development of the church.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

To enroll in undergraduate programs, applicants must provide:

  • High school diploma, transcripts,
  • The result of any of the internationally recognized tests of knowledge of the English language, confirming a level not lower than B2,
  • Individual achievements in ministry, charity, social life,
  • Personal documents: passport, medical insurance, visa, etc.

Applicants to postgraduate programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, transcripts,
  • The result of any of the internationally recognized tests of english proficiency, confirming a level not lower than C1,
  • DBS Basic Validation Certificate or Certificate of Good Conduct,
  • Individual achievements in ministry, charity, social life,
  • Personal documents: passport, medical insurance, visa, etc.

It is not necessary to be a Christian to study at All Nations Christian College, but those who do not contradict Orthodoxy and support the ideas of service are accepted for study.

Scholarships All Nations Christian College

The college pays scholarships to successful students who:

  • Entered into a strategic cross-cultural ministry,
  • They do not have the opportunity to pay the full cost of education, but have most of the required amount.

The amount of scholarship payments usually varies up to £2,000. The scholarship is granted for a maximum of one year, then students must apply again.
