Algonquin College Ottawa Canada - College of Applied Arts and Technology - was founded in 1967 and is named after the indigenous people who lived in the area. Algonquin was formed by the merger of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology, established in 1957, and the Professional Center of Ontario, founded in 1965. The college has been a leader in professional, higher education in the region for over 50 years. The institution has undergone significant growth since its inception and continues to grow. Three university campuses recently completed major expansion projects: the Perth and Pembroke campuses were rebuilt, and an innovation district was completed on the campus of Ottawa, and the Dare library was opened.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Algonquin college applicants must provide an Ontario High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent (GED, ACE certificates). Students over the age of 19 may apply without equivalent to a high school diploma.

Applications are reviewed individually. Some applicants may be asked to pass exams in English, math, if the selected program requires grades in a particular subject.
