ActiLingua Academy is one of the leading language schools in Vienna. It is located in the center of the Austrian capital. At the school, students are offered language courses of different intensity and academic specialization. The most popular programs are the preparation for the university and the preparation for the exams to receive OSD (Austrian language diploma). All courses take a minimum of 12 weeks.
Education in the Austrian language school provides not only academic load of medium and high intensity. A lot of extracurricular activities are organized for students. The course lasts 12 - 52 weeks. The program provides for an academic load of 20/30 lessons of general German per week and 8 hours of preparation for the exam for obtaining an international language certificate of B2 or C1 level. In the classroom, the emphasis is on developing communication and learning skills.

A special course, designed for at least 2 weeks, provides for the choice of the level of academic load. Students are offered a program with 20 basic German lessons per week, 8 additional classes in groups or 4 individual meetings with a native speaker. The intensive course provides the basic load of 30 hours / week.

- Learning outcomes: improvement of the general language knowledge, the acquisition of the skills necessary for the effective passing of an examination for an Austrian language certificate.

The German preparatory course, with a duration of 12 to 52 weeks, is an excellent base for preparing the child for university stress. The program is aimed at high school graduates who would like to study in Austria. The course consists of 4 standard or 6 intensive lessons, daily taking place in small groups with international students according to a certain curriculum. This course will help students to improve their knowledge of the German language.
Preparing for the University
The preparatory program prepares students for examinations for further admission to the university. ActiLingua is a examination center for obtaining OSD certificates required for admission to the university. OSD-Mittelstufe (B2) or OSD Oberstufe (C1) will be recognized by the Austrian and some German universities and will be admissible upon admission to the university. Our university placement officer (at two seminars) will inform students about the Austrian higher education system and help them in choosing the right university and program.
University Accommodation Service
You can also order a service to host a university. Before you come to Austria and start your German course at the Academy of ActiLingua, we will check whether your international diplomas are allowed in the Austrian university. We host students at a private university or at the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule). You can also choose a university with English programs in Austria.
Students with zero knowledge of the German language are advised to begin the course with a minimum of 36 weeks.

Intensive Course
The price includes:
- German course - 20-30 lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes)
- 2-3 times a week (= 5 lessons) cultural and special program (by interests). For example - tours of Vienna, conversations and videos about Austrian music, special lessons on art, literature, cuisine, history and architecture, the Vienna Waltz course, parties, sports.
- Certificate of ActiLingua
- Educational literature can be borrowed. Also books can be bought with a 50% discount at the school office.
- Dictionary of ActiLingua
- Opportunity to use computers, books, CDs, DVDs and magazines in a multimedia library.
- The school office for student service, from Monday to Friday.

ActiLingua Academy offers placement:
- In the host family. Students are provided with separate rooms with furniture and Internet access. The facilities are in common use, like kitchen and bathroom. Half board is available.
- In the residence / apartment: 1-2-bed rooms with private facilities are offered to students of summer courses in the hostels of the University of Salzburg. In the buildings in public access there are laundry, recreation areas, kitchens. Meals are not provided.
- The hotel ActiLingua. From the main school building it takes 10-minute drive. The hotel offers standard apartments (1-2-bedded with kitchen, bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning) and comfort (personal rooms with amenities, kitchen , TV, wireless Internet, daily cleaning in the 5/7 mode). Half board is available for hotel guests.

Activities ActiLingua Language School
Extracurricular program includes entertaining activities and cognitive leisure. For students discos, shows, quizzes, competitions, barbecues, etc. are organized. The excursion program includes acquaintance with the sights of Vienna, Salzburg, Vashau, Kreisenstein. Also, eco-routes are offered to the students, for example to Lake Neusiedler.
