Villiers School is a coeducational private school in Ireland founded back in 1821. The educational institution carefully preserves and supports the traditional values ​​of Christian culture, the traditions of British education, while actively introducing modern technologies and methods into the learning process, focusing on the practical application of knowledge in the modern world. IB Program

The IB program at the school has been offered since 2017. 100% of graduates who choose IB successfully enter the selected universities from the first time, which clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of this course at Villiers School.

There are three basic, compulsory subjects on the course:

  • Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
  • Advanced Essay Writing (EE) Skills
  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

The rest of the directions are recruited from thematic groups: there are 6 of them in total, one from each. 3 subjects are studied at the standard level of complexity (SL), 3 - more in-depth (HL). Available groups and subjects:

  1. Language and literature: English.
  2. Languages: English, French, German, Spanish (French and Spanish are also available for beginners - ab initio, for students with zero initial level).
  3. Man and Society: Economics, History, Geography, Business and Management.
  4. Sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, sports and health sciences.
  5. Mathematics: Applications & Interpretations (SL level).
  6. Arts: Visual Art.

Accommodation, meals, prices

There are 3 comfortable residences in the territory, in which the students live (about 40% of them are foreign students). Accommodation on board terms and conditions is observed by the principle of all inclusive, namely, a full and varied diet three times a day and regularly conducted cultural, entertainment, leisure and cognitive activities.

Villiers School strives to maximize the full potential of each student, offering a wide variety of options for optional classes. Popular music lessons are: it can be a vocal or playing musical instruments (saxophone, piano, percussion, flute, guitar). There is a presentation center with all the necessary equipment for those who are fond of the economy and want to build a career in business. For creatively gifted students, a functional studio for design, technology and art has been built, and there is also its own chamber theater.

Facilities and equipment at Villiers School

Villiers School is located near the city of Limerick (south-west of Ireland). Despite almost two hundred years of history, the main campus consists of modern buildings: scientific laboratories, IT centers, computer classes, design and technology studios, a large library and bright, spacious classroom audiences.

Sport infrastructure is no less developed: the stadium, built in 2002, an indoor multifunctional sports complex, a fitness hall, are a pride of the school.
