Admission procedure for international applicants to English universities

The minimum requirement for admission to Leicester universities is a GCSE certificate of incomplete secondary education (it is obtained at the end of the 11th grade). Moreover, if you want to be confident in your admission and are determined to get an education in Leicester, at least 5 GCSE subjects must be passed for an excellent grade (A *-A according to the British system). Universities are also very attentive to the level of English of their applicants: be ready to pass the international IELTS exam (minimum requirements for universities start from IELTS 5.0-5.5).

The entire package of documents is submitted through a special general online system UCAS. A big plus is that applicants can apply to several universities at once (usually no more than six): this will increase your chances of enrolling and receiving higher education in England, because if you are rejected by the most priority option, you will have several spare options. Please note: the most privileged and elite universities (Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Sciences) may require personal presence when submitting documents, passing a personal interview not via Skype  and passing additional entrance tests.
