Who overtook Canada in the fight for the title of the best country?

Who overtook Canada in the fight for the title of the best country?

Every year a list of the best countries in the world for residence is published. The previous leader of the rating was Canada, but the result of the latest study showed that now another country has taken the place of the North American state, which also has a red and white flag.

The annual report is compiled by professors at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Canada was the leader of the list last year, but now it has dropped two positions at once, taking the bronze medalist in the top of the current year. The third place was taken by Canada, and above it is Germany, which overtook the country with a maple leaf on the flag for several reasons.

How is the rating created and who took the lead?

The study involved 85 countries, each of which was tested in 10 categories, including: openness to doing business, power, quality of life, social goals, heritage, culture, etc. This rating is created so that politicians can determine in which direction they need to move their country, what the authorities need to pay attention to.

Canada regularly shows itself well in the category "Quality of Life", taking 3rd place this year, but according to other indicators it sank and lost to its neighbors. The canadian economy showed itself the worst, the growth rate of which is one of the lowest among all the countries participating in the study: the economy of the North American state is growing more slowly than that of 62 countries from the list. In the category "Heritage" Canada took 28th place, because culturologists believe that the cultural history of this country is not as developed and rich as that of others.

The first place in the overall standings went to Switzerland, which overtook its rivals in the categories of business friendliness and orientation of the economy to the domestic market.

The fourth place in the ranking went to the United States of America, the top five was closed by Sweden, and the last three in the top ten - Great Britain, France and Denmark.
