What is a traveler to do in Morocco?

Morocco is a country that is not included in the ranking of the most popular countries for tourism, but it can offer travelers a lot of interesting things. Marrakech stands out in particular – most tourists stay here. What to do in this city?

Hotel Royal Mansour Marrakech – The Pearl of Morocco

Every corner of this place is different from what classic hotels look like! Guests don't just check into the room, they receive the keys to their own three-storey riad. On the ground floor there is an elegant living and dining room that leads to a cozy courtyard with a fountain, on the second floor there is a comfortable bedroom, and the pinnacle of luxury is a terrace on the third floor with a swimming pool, a tent and a mesmerizing view of Marrakech.

Each guest has a personal butler who will make you feel like part of the royal family. No wonder, because Mohammed VI himself, King of Morocco, chose the Royal Mansour Marrakech as one of his official residences! The creation of this place required five years of painstaking work, which was personally supervised by the king.

On-site restaurants

Royal Mansour Marrakech is famous for its chic restaurants. The French brasserie La Grande Brasserie, headed by Hélène Darroz, a chef with six Michelin stars, deserves attention. Hélène cooks with love and skill, taking into account local characteristics and ingredients. La Grande Brasserie is a unique blend of classic Parisian bistros and sophisticated Moroccan aesthetics. The menu includes a variety of desserts typical of French cuisine: mille-feuille, profiteroles, our own ice cream. Every Sunday, guests can enjoy fried chicken, a dish traditionally prepared by French families.

The hotel is also proud of its Italian restaurant SESAMO, headed by Massimiliano Alaimo, a talented Michelin-starred chef at the age of just 28. It's a place where guests can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, from roasted langoustines and beef tartare with white truffles to saffron risotto. The atmosphere of the restaurant immerses the guest in the world of magnificent Venetian palaces: the establishment combines elements of masquerade, canals, bridges and amazing shades of sea water.

Relaxation & Spa

At Royal Mansour Marrakech, the focus is on relaxation and self-care. Spread over three floors and covering an area of 2500 square meters, the hotel's spa offers unique opportunities for relaxation and wellness. An outstanding treatment is a traditional spa ritual in the hammam with the use of skincare products: this ritual includes a scrub that rejuvenates the skin, treatments using healing waters and stretching the body, ending with a refreshing font.

A hammam in Morocco is not just a spa treatment: it is a cultural phenomenon that symbolizes the local way of life. For wellness lovers, the hotel's spa has a large menu of wellness programs aimed at improving physical and psychological well-being. Guests can sign up for 4 main packages: balance restoration, weight management, rejuvenation and immune strengthening. The programs are designed for different durations – from 3 to 14 days, depending on the individual needs of the guest.

Le Palace Restaurant

Le Palace is located in the dynamic district of Yvernage. The restaurant has 1920s charm with colonial elements. In the menu, in addition to traditional desserts from France, you can find gourmet dishes: pizza with fragrant truffle, lobster with citrus sauce, toast with crab meat and avocado, jamon ibérico, tuna tataki, lobster salad and more. In the bar on the ground floor, decorated with photographs of Yves Saint Laurent, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and a good drink.

After dinner, Le Palace transforms into a trendy party venue with famous DJs, where you can often meet celebrities from the world of art and film.

Yves Saint Laurent Museum

Marrakech is not only a meeting place for fashion designers from leading fashion houses: it is a city closely linked to the life and work of Yves Saint Laurent. This famous French couturier found a source of inspiration and solitude in Marrakech, where he spent a lot of time in the company of his friend Pierre Bergé. For example, they purchased and restored the garden of the artist Jacques Majorelle – fashion designers created a unique green oasis with exotic plants from all over the world.

Recently, a museum dedicated to the work and life of Yves Saint Laurent was opened not far from this garden: the exhibition includes the designer's personal objects, famous outfits and accessories, demonstrating the evolution of his style and contribution to world fashion.

Private house of Serge Lutans

Those interested in fashion and fragrances should visit the private home of Serge Lutans, a leading French perfumer. This place differs from the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in its exclusivity: access is rarely open, but guests of the Royal Mansour Marrakech can obtain a special pass at the hotel, which they can use to enter the house. For 35 years, Lutans has been working on his estate and embodying his bold ideas – he has combined dozens of riads of Morocco into one whole, each time adding something new and unique to the interior.

Culinary Atelier Royal Mansour Marrakech

The Royal Mansour Marrakech has a special place for gastronomic experiments – the culinary atelier. Here, experienced chefs conduct master classes in Moroccan, Italian cuisine and confectionery. Classes are suitable for beginners and experienced cooks, the two spacious halls of the atelier have everything you need to create culinary masterpieces.

Anima Garden

Anima Garden, created by Austrian artist André Heller, is a unique place that combines nature and art. Covering more than three hectares of land, the garden showcases more than 250 species of plants from different parts of the world, including exotic ones.

This green oasis is home to amazing installations by renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Alexander Calder and Auguste Rodin. A walk through the garden is a real aesthetic journey!
