Wake Forest University (WFU) is a private non-profit university founded in America on February 3, 1834.

High School got its name in honor of the city in which the institution was originally - Wake Forest. In 1956, the university moved to Winston-Salem, where it is today. University buildings are located in the central part of the city. In 1967, the institution received accreditation and moved from the status of a college of higher education to a full-fledged university.

The WFU university has an eventful history and dynamic development; therefore, over the years of its work, it has appeared in many rankings and lists of prestigious educational institutions:

  • In 2015, the university was ranked 27th in the “National Universities” ranking, and also ranked 11th in the “Best Student Training” ranking (US News & World Report)
