Scientific achievements

Within the framework of bilateral cooperation with the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics, the Large Millimeter Telescope was opened in 2006. It is located in Mexico at the top of the Sierra Negra.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Umass Amherst has 52 dormitories and apartment buildings in seven different residential areas: Central, Northeast, Orchard Hill, Southwest, Commonwealth College District, Sylvan and North. Each of the complexes has distinctive characteristics: architecture, cultural extracurricular programs, types of accommodation. Some residential buildings house women and men separately, others together in the same building.
