University of Kentucky (UK) is a public higher education institution founded in 1865 by lawyer John Bowman. The institution was originally referred to as the University of Kentucky Agricultural and Technical College.
Today, the UK University is recognized as the largest in the state: annually more than 22 thousand people are educated here, not only from America, but also from other countries. In 2019, the university was included in the list of the best national universities.
